This is quite some juxtaposition! The seriousness of traditional Japanese music and this elderly band, against the bright, chirpy anime music of Sailor Moon! Wow!
@alestane26 жыл бұрын
"elderly"? The shamisen and the flute players might not be youngsters, but the koto and percussion musicians certainly don't look elderly to me.
@zhouwu6 жыл бұрын
To be fair, I did kinda notice the youth of the koto and percussion players well after it was way too late. Oh well. To be human enough to make a mistake shouldn't be a death sentence.
@alestane26 жыл бұрын
As it happens, I didn't condemn you to death, so that's cool.
@zhouwu6 жыл бұрын
@opsyoz huh?
@zhouwu6 жыл бұрын
@opsyoz True that. Just checking it wasn't a reference to the juxtaposition thing, because Japan seems to be full of it. It's very attention grabbing, that strategy. But yeah, glad I'm not from Japan. Death sentences suck. But I wonder if suicidal people would feel glad to be sentenced to death. Or do suicidal people sentence themselves to death? Or would they get offended if someone else sentences them to death? And speaking of which, is suicide a form of self murder where the perpetrator and the victim are one? Or is that too many cans of worms? But what if someone wanted to open a worm farm? Then they might be glad to dig up a can of worms. So many traditional ideas and traditions to subvert, I could go at it all day! Maybe it'll be like charging at windmills. But what if the local government wanted to replace the windmills with better stuff? Then maybe you'd be happy I knocked those windmills down for them. But then again, I might get some complaints from the windmill owners. Or, if they are out of use anyway, maybe they won't complain too much. Especially if they wanted to demolish them but never got round to it. But then the historical preservation society might complain. But then, if I'm a living Don Quixote, what do they have to complain about? I am a historical icon. God, you can argue just about anything!

the lady on the drums is awesome. I mean they all are but the drums here give this whole song a solid structure
@muhammadzahirkahan98446 жыл бұрын
The shamisen is the soul without that it sounds nothing like the sailor moon intro the drums are the second important instrument.u can make a flawless song with only the shamisen and the drums the other instraments give more life to the song but the shamisen sounds best on its own
@littlefishbigmountain6 жыл бұрын
@@muhammadzahirkahan9844 To be fair, they weren't talking about the most essential instrument, nor did they say the drums would be recognizable as Sailor Moon on their own. They simply said the lady on drums was awesome and gave the whole arrangement solid structure
There should be an alternate version of Sailormoon during the Edo period. It should be dark similar to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. And they should use enchanted weapons of that period.

Thank you for this lovely rendition. The sound of traditional instruments have a characteristic charm, exquisiteness, and beauty to them. Above all, thank you for bringing back wonderful childhood memories.
I wonder if the musicians actually like the show or if they're like, "Damn, I don't believe I have to play this nonsense so that our music program can get more publicity."

Unlike in the rest of the world, the Japanese take their anime and game music as seriously as a piece of traditional or classical music. So no, I do not think they were compelled to do this for 'likes', etc, but for simply sheer enjoyment and fun as well as expressing their love of different genres.
