Thanks for you insightful video. Very well explained. I currently do not have a wood splitter, but I have decided to try and get the K34. Looks to be a better option than a hydraulic one. Thanks again. Johnny

I have the same model...and have split dozens of cords of wood...but my unit just started having the ram get stuck and chatter with the rack gear/ spindle gear. It looks like there is to much clearance/play between the bearing roller at the bottom of the engagement handle and the top of the rack gear. Im gonna try to fix this issue by purchainsg a piece of 2 ft long, by 2 inch wide by 1/16" thick steel...and weld it to the top of 2 ft rack....hopefully this eliminates the slop/ clearance that is causing the chatter .

While this is the best maintenance video I have seen, it would have helped me more if you slowed down when you did the removal of the belt etc.

yes i am. No expensive parts have broken or worn. I did replace the 2 belts just for peace of mind thats it.

At minute 15:30 you used something to lubricate the ram,what did you use? If i dont have any of those lubricant/grease gun,whats the best way to do it? Thanks
