Hi Patti: I would have to examine the patient before giving any specific recommendations. Check out the section on our web site with articles on leg pain. This may provide you with some of the information you need. Cheers www.kinetichealth.ca/leg-injuries

I have always told everyone that hamstrings arise in pelvis and insert into tib+fib and don’t touch the femur, at age of 73 I have now learnt that short head of biceps arises from femur!

i did some aggressive hamstring/hip flexor stretches and now i feel a sliding/pop when i walk, behind my knee, right where this semitendonosus is. There's no pain or instability, but just an annoying pop/snap feeling at the end of the range of motion when my leg extends during walking. WHat's the treatment or issue? I know i have overly tight hamstrings. Should I continue some lighter stretches to rehab this area or complete rest?
