Kinetico 51 - Won't draw brine (Part 1)

Many different reasons for no brine draw. 1. Restricted Venturi 2. Restricted drain line 3. Clogged upper distributors Also those drain valve seats were very worn down. I can tell you have city water on the equipment based off of you're #2 disk and shape of the rubber in the valve. It could use a rebuild, I'd use the blue seals capable of handling the chlorine

Were you ever able to find out if the line to the brine tank should always have pressure when it isn't in a vacuum?

Yes I think it should - the float valve stops it once it has reached the right height of water, but think the pressure is maintained.

Mine is having the same problem. I'm thinking I should just bail on this thing and get a new one. Different brand as well.

How can you tell that it's not drawing from brine tank?

The water should stop coming out the black valve and instead suck

+Bob Gregg Have to call up a Kinetico approved service company. If you are lucky they will sell you parts. I've read online that some of the companies won't do so. Haven't been able to find a 'manual' or 'kit' to refurbish a unit.
