Once again you are good with the help... I had a E19 fault .? on my 6000 drive
@ShaneWelcher

That is a position error fault. Also, depends on your firmware...if on FW 1.83 then flash it to 1.85 You also could have the motor leads connected in the wrong order. U-Brown V-Black W-Blue These to try: -Increase the feed forward -Increase the following error -Check tuning -Verify no mechanical binding Generally, if this happened while running then it could be a mechanically on the driven load.

Hello, I have a problem with one of this drivers and the error is E09. Can you help explain what is the problem exactly, when install the new driver this error comes out but when I put the old one same driver but just older, it works fine.
@ShaneWelcher

That error is buss under voltage so check the incoming power matches the drive rating. If so then the new one is bad, try flashing the firmware

Thanks for all sir I have a question, now i have the same KINETIX 6000 and when i change the encoder for a new one with the same exactly characteristics, the driver stucks on phase 3 trying to recognize the new encoder, but if i use the old encoder, it contnues to phase 4 and then presents the error E64, thats why i wnat to change the old one. I guess all that i have to do is download again in PLC with the new encoder installed but i dont know if this is going to work or i have to do more configuration on RSlogix 5000 ?

Verify that it is the exact part number & matching firmware. If you are using the encoder for an axis then change the axis properties as needed. Hope that helps

Add a ground to the drive connector, I've since loose or dirty ground caused this. I added a ground wire with an alligator clamp and it solved the issue although it's a temporary measure

Hi, I'm trying to change a Kinetix 6500 module from a pre-existing rack. The one I'm trying to swap sometimes give me some errors, so I've tried to change it for a new one, however, it gives me the error INHIBIT S04 and I don't know what to do. I just simply change them, the only configuration I've made is change the IP address of the new one using BootP Tool. Could you help me so I can get rid of the error? Thank you in advance :)

For: Servo Drive: INIT FLT S04, Commutation Not Configured This answer solves two questions. 1. What is causing the INIT FLT S04, commutation not configured? 2. What is causing the inhibit S04, commutation not configured? Verify the phasing of the motor is correct, brown/black/blue to U/V/W for Rockwell Automation cables. Incorrect phasing can cause this fault. If the commutation hookup test was executed on a system having a standard Rockwell Automation permanent magnet motor, this fault will be displayed on the axis. This is because the standard motor’s data file already includes a commutation offset. Doing this type of Hookup test changes this offset value and would result in incorrect operation of the motor. To clear this fault, follow these steps: 1. Go offline with the controller 2. Go to the axis properties in RSLogix/Studio 5000 3. Select the Motor category 4. Click on Change Catalog 5. Select the motor type of NONE and Apply 6. Download the project 7. Go back offline with the controller 8. Go back to the axis properties 9. Select the Motor category 10. Click on Change Catalog 11. Now select the correct motor from the list and Apply 12. Download the project The axis should now go to Stopped Note: Axis parameters are now reset to their default values. Be sure to set the scaling values and tune your axis accordingly to re-commission the axis.

I have problem with MSO instruction. When I execute MSO instruction, sometime it show error with error code .err =7 and .exerr = 0. What should I check for this issue? Is it come form bad motor or kinetix 6000? Thank you
@ShaneWelcher

You should follow my standard servo controls guidelines of the order of operation. The error you are indicating says that you are getting a motion axis shutdown so it's best to follow best practice. Basically Off first - then Reset - then On - then Control

Thanks for all sir I have questiin, now I have problem with kinetix 7000, Initially we replace the encoder with the same type, when we try it, during phase 4, an error code appears (E30), do you know the solution? (i have checked encoder wiring)
@ShaneWelcher
@ShaneWelcher 4 жыл бұрын
The encoder on a servo is set with an oscilloscope to the stator of the motor so there is no just replacing the encoder. You have to change the whole servo. An E30 Motor Feedback Fault (Motor Feedback Communication) indicates that communication was not established with the intelligent encoder. The drive cannot make connection with or verify the encoder. Please check following steps: Verify Motor Catalog Number selection in Axis Properties in RSLogix/Studio 5000 If you are using Ultraware to configure the drive, and you are using Motor Catalog Number Auto Identification, verify the motor supports Automatic Identification Check motor encoder wiring. Verify that the motor feedback wiring matches the interconnect diagrams in the User Manual for the drive. Cycle power on the drive. If none of the above helped and you have ensured that all the wiring, connections, and software settings are proper, start replacing hardware.

thanks for your answer i have other question for more specifically, the error appears after the MSO function executed, and I didn't purchase the encoder from a Rockwell distributor, does it matter?

Hi I'm getting e73 error on the drive how to resolve it
@ShaneWelcher
@ShaneWelcher Жыл бұрын
Please clarify what actual drive you are using. If a Kinetix 6000 then it could be a back plain issue or a connection on the drive where the pins connect the back plain. They often get bent. Check that

@ShaneWelcher Жыл бұрын
@@zainabbas2524 again, check the pins on the back of the drive where it plugs in. Make sure they are all straight and not bent. If all are good then replace the drive or the back plain. A simple check is to place the drive in a different slot and test it. Of course you need to change the node to do this test

Sir, I am in great trouble. My Kinetix 6000 Servo drive (2094 BC02- M02-S) is showing E 06 Error continuously.. Servo Motor is MPL-B330P-SJ72AA After replacing Encoder it is showing E03... Encoder is SRS50-HFA0-K21, Make:- SICK please help what to do.. Other same servo motor is running with same drive...
@ShaneWelcher
@ShaneWelcher 2 жыл бұрын
An E06 is just a hardware over travel fault... meaning, the device that feeds back the input for the over travel is active. Generally, this is a prox switch or like device
@Brijesh8080
@Brijesh8080 2 жыл бұрын
@@ShaneWelcher Sir, Thanks for your reply! In my Question I have mentioned that same type other servo motor is running with current setup. I mean this problem may not be a hard overtravel problem. something is missing from feedback device i.e. a encoder.... So please look that point of view also.
@ShaneWelcher
@ShaneWelcher 2 жыл бұрын
Your question has many outcomes, it sounds like you don't have something set up correctly. Like is this a new application? Is the encoder new? Have you tested the encoder? It the encoder wired correctly? Is the servo controller setup for encoder use? Are the attributes correct? Plus many more questions

@ShaneWelcher
@ShaneWelcher 3 жыл бұрын
Sounds like the Kinetix 6000 backplain is bad or not communicating. Maybe bent pins, check for bent pins on the back of the Kinetix 6000 controller when you remove it. Also depends on the firmware that you are running. Either way, could be a the power rail for the Kinetix 6000...the back plain

Sounds like a sercos issues, like the sercos card is bad, dropping comms from time to time. They are fiber light cables so either a cable issue or card issue. I would think that it is most likely a sercos card issue

@ShaneWelcher
@ShaneWelcher 4 жыл бұрын
@@the5general1 Was it a refurbished card? Still sounds like a weak light transfer. Or cabling issue, like a bend or something in the fiber. May also be baud rate but that is far fetched in my opinion. Sounds like a lighting transfer issue. Could also be firmware but that is a long shot as well, to double check, make sure all the firmware is on the same level

Has anyone had a E00 undervoltage and had the fuse blown? Trying to see how to fix that in house without waiting for Rockwell.
@ShaneWelcher
@ShaneWelcher 3 жыл бұрын
That is a blown fuse for the DC bus. You can verify the DC regulator is working correctly & change the fuse or merely replace the drive. Might be a internal short unless you have a power spike. Depends on your voltage grounding system, meaning, high resistance ground or normal ground. If high resistance then the MOV jumper should have been removed which could have caused the short
@michaelcoxfitness6089
@michaelcoxfitness6089 3 жыл бұрын
@@ShaneWelcher thank you for your response. So the blown fuse might be something greater we had a motor and cable that took a dump so I’m sure it’s more than a blown fuse. We had Rockwell tech support and they said look at motor and cable and Im sure it was a combination. Your videos are excellent trying to become better in motion control.
