Wow. The musical economic landscape is far better now than when I was in marching band. We didn't march with large bores, it was all pea shooters. Now everyone has triggers and large bores on the field. That is great.

To clarify, at my high school, everyone else marches peashooters. I chose to march this because the small bore was too squirrely and didn't have enough solid "oomph" to the sound. The trigger came in handy, too.

@@thenewtrombonium1166 Nice video bro! what mpc were you using? I'm thinking of buying one. Question: Using the F Attach, why didn't you play the low B on the second position instead of the 7th?It gotta sound good with the trigger. Check out some of my videos, I hope you like them and also subscribe back. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYeampeIZ7urrZY Best.

@@CrisFerrerYT I used to use a Benge 1.5G on this. Nowadays I'm playing a Benge 290 with a Bach 1G megatone. The T2 position is only used for B in the staff. The one an octave below needs to be out that far.

That piece of Superstition is the brass part that happens before the chorus in the original song.

Does this take a large or small shank mouthpiece?

@@thenewtrombonium1166 Hey thank you. Turns out the one that I just got is even bigger than large shank. :(

@@RyanBisson I should be more specific- King large bore trombones have a slighty larger receiver compared to modern standards. A typical large shank mpc *should* fit unless mouthpieces have been jammed down the leadpipe. Easiest solution is to wrap the mpc shank with some Teflon tape.

@@thenewtrombonium1166 Ah!! I just bought a 5b and you're right its just a little bigger than a large shank mouthpiece. Thanks for the tip! I'm gonna pick up some teflon tape today!

I own one! Got mine used back in 2000 used from Fullerton Music. Mine has the plastic arm.

They're great horns. I changed my linkage to plastic when a 1990s King 4BF passed through my hands briefly, I couldn't stand how clunky the metal linkage was getting.
