Not useful knowledge, but a tethered balloon is called an “Aerostat”. Love the show!

Not related to the game but to give you some insight, developing color film (C41 negative and E6 slide) is not easy to do at home, it can be done but requires much more precise temperature control than black and white. I used to shoot a ton of film when I was a wedding photographer, and film whilst it doesn't have the resolution and fidelity of digital, can still capture a somewhat unique look. That said digital has come a very long way, I still shoot a Nikon FM now and then; but I could never afford to buy film these days, way way too expensive. I am just using my wedding photography days stockpile.

After doing some research, my dad had a full E-6 processing setup in his study closet to develop Ektachrome film.

@@boatofcar3273 Wow that's some serious kit. The closest I ever got was making color prints. Not easy with the rudimentary kit I had.

What a coincidence! I was playing a game on the BBC Micro two days ago that is clearly a clone of this. I'd never play either before, so I though Astro Blaster on the BBC was an original game idea. There are two BBC games with that title, so looking it up may give a totally different game. The BBC clone of this has different aliens on each level to make it more interesting, though shooting the king free seems easier on this version.

if you play the arcade version on Mister the weird droning sound is missing that is in the Amiga version, but on mame and the actual arcade it appears to be there, so I think the Mister core/s are not quite right yet. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5XRomZ9iNWBb9E

@@AmigosRetroGaming And even more curious, I was doing some digging and it appears the original arcade game did not have stars, so I can only assume some early emulators use Galaxian as a base with King and Balloon roms? So really the only thing missing from the Amiga build is the intro tune when you start. Which I am sure will be added =)
