King and Queen Bid Farewell to France With a Glass of Wine

The King and Queen were treated to a glass of wine as Their Majesties marked the end of their three-day state trip to France. They visited Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, a sustainable vineyard just outside Bordeaux. Charles and Camilla after learning about the winemaking process and the vineyard's sustainable practices, they tried to tempt a llama to come and say hello using food. The llama refused.

He’s much less naturally shy than his mother and is clearly at ease with all kinds of people. Princess Anne is exactly the same. I’ve been at a couple of major business events (shipping related) where she was VIP speaker and whether she’s talking to young cadets or the admiral of the fleet she is warm and engaging, speaks with intelligence and relevance and really listens.

@@rileyperkins2724 very true ( his mother grew up in a virtual cocoon by comparison) however I’ve always thought it was cruel that a sensitive gentle boy such as Charles was, ended up being sent to the brutally austere school Gordonstoun (Prince Philip insisted) where he was mercilessly bullied. The queen was careful to ensure that, although she was head of state, her husband was head of the family and against her better judgement acceded to her husband’s wishes that Charles should go to a school she feared (rightly) was not suited to his needs. Anne I agree is absolutely the jewel in the crown but she too was bullied by the press (‘ princess poker face’)in the 80s when Diana was their darling.

Towards the end of the video whilst visiting a winery, the owner (?) dedicated her time only to King Charles III 🤔🙄this was definitely a bad fax pas because Queen Camila needed to ask for the book to sign it as well. I think Camilla seems to be going for softer, more muted colours whereas the late Queen chose vibrant jewel tones to stand out. I think this shows a little modesty in Camilla and respect that she doesn’t want to overshadow Charles, who is the king. She looks graceful but not ostentatious.

If they get plastic surgery they get criticized. If they don’t have surgery they get criticized. And if she lived and married Dodie, would she have had some sort of scandal, who knows? Everyone seems to get ‘cancelled’ these days. If Diana was alive, maybe the public would have turned on her. It’s sad that she died but she was human with strengths and weaknesses like everyone else. People really need to stop acting like she was some sort of saint and let her rest in peace.
