In this video we run to a few inshore lumps north of our inlet. We catch spanish and king mackerel plus the tasty Atlantic Bonito.
I go over a very simple, but productive inshore trolling spread for these fish.
We show some fishing action.
Then I try my hand at my first smoked fish (king mackerel) while we dine on fresh bonito sashimi.
Like,. subscribe, and share. Tons more videos coming. We thank everyone for watching.

Got my bonito brining right now, a step you skipped was take it out of the brine and use a fan to dry it to form a skin (pellicle).. All in all cant go wrong either way. Gona smoke my bonito tomorrow.

You need to add Vinegar to your brine (I use apple cider) 2 hour brine minimum- take out and dry on rack in fridge 2 hours before smoking. Leave skin on next time on your filet. Smoke at 200F for 2 hr 30 min. Apple wood (or apple pellet for you) Good Luck!

Love your videos man. Iv got a Sea Ray 270, 100 gallon fuel tank. Furthest Iv gone is AC reef, only caught bluefish trolling. Just upgraded my gear and want to hit some other locations for better fishing that are manageable with my size boat. Thinking about triple lumps or cigar. Any advice?? Again love your videos!

Little late to the game, love your videos man. I do some trolling in the Chesapeake for Spanish but am looking to get into some of the inshore stuff. How heavy of a trolling set up are you using for macks and bones?
@reaperfishingnj8623
@reaperfishingnj8623 3 жыл бұрын
Nothing heavy. similiar to what you'd troll for striped bass.

Cut it in steak size. Add salt and pepper on it. Use wok or pan with lots of cooking oil and deep fry fish till light brown or slightly golden brown. Remove fish and drain excess oil on paper towel. Fish should be soft and tasty. Avoid cooking in oven bake as fish tends to harden up and rubbery.

Thanks so much for watching Dennis. We have had so many requests for canyon trips unfortunately. We are a pretty tight knit crew. I think next year we are gonna do some raffles for free trips. I wish i could take everyone but it's just not practical. We like to fish with small crews.
