King Charles Visits Anti-Poverty Charity in Scotland

The King visits a Scottish village to hear how an anti-poverty charity, Broke Not Broken, has been making a difference to people's lives.
His Majesty was given a tour of the charity’s garden, where it grows fruit and vegetables to be distributed to those in need.
The King then visited Kinross Day Centre, where he met people who directly benefit from the services the charity provides. . Report by Matthew Covell.

King Charles donated £1billion to the government in January to help supply the food banks and buy many of them industrial refrigeration units ext ext . Plus, the money that goes to the Sovereign Grant is replaced by funds from the Crown Estate. The Crown Estate doesn’t only make up from money spent, but also provides profit to the Government, for paying the Sovereign Grant.

So every time the Government invests, let’s say £70 million, they in return will get, let’s say £85 million. If the Government doesn’t pay the Sovereign Grant, then they get no Crown Estate money. That is the law. So I believe that the Monarchy is essentially paid for by the Crown Estate, via the Government, who also profits off it.

You have the crown estate which is a portfolio of properties that the monarchy owns that produce profit for the monarch. Every year the monarch signs over the profits from the crown estate to the Treasury. The Sovereign Grant is then taken from the money that the monarch put into the Treasury. Are you with me so far? In 2021-22, the Royal Family received £86.3m from the treasury (Which was deposited there by them) via the sovereign's grant. In 2021-22, the Monarchy paid £475m into the Treasury From the profits of the crown estate. The government keeps the balance, which was about £389 million that year. We have the only self-funded Head of State in the world, who also pays the taxpayers.

I suggest you research the Prince's Trust which Charles established using his Severance Pay from the Navy in the 70s! He has helped over 1 million of the poorest and most marginalised young people in the UK establish successful lives for themselves through providing Grants, Scholarships, Education and Training Opportunities that they would never have been given! He still worries that he hasn't done enough to help and is still dedicated to the work of the Trust! Also the Royal Family traditionally provide jobs for thousands of people, the staff who are employed by them! These staff are paid employees, not slaves!

I can help with that. Do you know how many people are employed through His Majesty? Not just all the staff at all the castles and stately homes but on all the various properties and businesses they run? If people are protesting and starving go talk to your government. Rishi Sunak would be a great place to start. The people are suffering and the Royal Family knows that which is why Prince William is working on helping solve homelessness but there is only so much one Family can do. It will take the collective will of a nation to make a difference
