Teach dis is a boom interview,King Everald became my friend in the late 80s.I am so glad to see he cleaned himself up cause he was really gone back then,I remember I was keeping o a dance in the Old Harbour Road area with a sound called Bug Striker from St Lucia Rd.,when the truck was about to leave King was passing by a beg a thing and mi tell him jump pon the truck and come a di dance and he did ,King mash up the dance especially when him sing the Coke song. From that we became good friend,When I migrated and I called back to Jamaica I always asked for King and all the stories were not so goods, but give thanks him cleaned up real good.

Back in the late 80s when I went to Jammies to cut dubplate King Everald was one of the artists I requested. The other artists in the studio made a joke about which King Everald yuh want? The clean one or the drug out one. I don't know which one I got but the dubplate and voice was the wicked King Everald I was accustomed to hearing. Many if the songs if his that I like was on the PARISH label. Nuff bwoy nuh familiar with that label but it has some nice rare Conrad Smith, Singing Melody, and King Everald on it.
