King Gizzard is a phenomenal band but no matter how experimental and crazy their music can get I always find myself coming back to their chill songs/albums the most, especially Sketches of Brunswick and Paper Mache Dream Balloon.

I'm amazed at the fact that these guys have made 23 albums (and an EP) in 12 years. That's insane! I'm thoroughly impressed that they haven't just done 23 albums in such a short time, but in a wide variety of styles! I'm starting from the beginning and listening to each album in order. @@karlpoppins I think it's one of their best. Taking the microtonal thing up a notch with more adventurous song structures and more sounds. A sequel is coming later this month!

@@czgibson3086 A lot of their melodies and rhythms in that album were bland (e.g. Automation), so for this creates an issue for a band that relies mostly on these musical aspects. I also found Intrasport to be extremely tacky and unfitting to the album's style. Straws in the Wind and Honey were decent songs. Usually King Gizz have 1-2 weak songs per album, but now it was more like half the album. So in my eyes this is simply a quality issue, not an artistic direction issue.
