I read the following during my quiet time just now: "Are You Praying for God’s Will to Be Done? "We pray and then we wait for answers. We pray for God to hear us and we wait longer. God hears our hearts when we pray and He is always listening." That's when this spiritual, "King Jesus is A-listening" came to mind and brought me to this page. I'm glad I did.

These wonderful spirituals bring back good childhood memories. The American slaves and subsequent African-Americans lived a life that this modern-day generation know little of. They worked hard, and while they labored they could sing with feeling, "King Jesus is a listening 🎶".

I have the African American Heritage Hymnal and this one is in there. There are so many wonderful old pieces in there. Found a number of them we used to sing at Shiloh Pentecostal Church back when I was a child. This is a wonderful choir version. thanks for posting!!
