King Kong Combat Against Giant Sea Monster - Causes Total Flood, Tsunami Dam Breach Experiment

Hello, I'm Roger, I love experiments. I build miniature models of dams, to describe how dangerous a dam failure is, how it causes flash floods and disasters, how the power of water is much greater than we have ever thought about it. If you have any challenges for me, please leave them in the comments below. Thank you!

Im impressed it held out mostly before the water flowed over the top, one of the very few successful structures for keeping water out, not that theyre all meant to of course

every dam breach experiment is always so satisfying with the outcome, but this one was like the best one just because the underground structure lasted and it leaked through the top

So glad I finally watched this! That was 100% NOT what I was expecting to see happen! I was sure that when the water reached the tunnel the whole thing would collapse in a catastrophic failure.

Additionally, filling rate of these models should be taken into consideration, as you can fill them without the flow stripping away the sand like this one did. It just takes time and patience.

Wow, who would have thought that building on or in the sand was a bad idea? Especially when there is a body of water in the immediate vicinity. - With these conditions, NOBODY could have expected anything catastrophic to happen!

This is a very good demo of what’s happening on the Holderness coastline on the Eastern UK coast. Buildings are at a huge risk and many have already been sacrificed. And it’s accelerating. So, this has a hell of a lot of real life applications.

If your looking to make the dams stronger add some clay to the sand it will make it where you can compress the mixture and have less water undermining the structure

This is a great example of why plants and roots are important for damns and levies. My local town has an artificial lake and they cut all the trees down on the berms. Both of them cracked and they had to drain the lake below them. Its still not fully fixed as far as Im aware
