@@stevenjones4059 I read the world of Kong book and I love it. If Peter jackson made a prequel or sequel to his king Kong movie showing more of this ecosystem I would love it even more. Hopefully we will because I hate the monsterverse skull island and king Kong it's boring and uninteresting.
@stevenjones40594 жыл бұрын
@@christo-gj1qk The only thing you said that I agree with is more of skull island from the 05 version I hated that movie but loved skull island the damn idiot Jackson was a damn fool to feature the island entirely instead only featuring it for like 2 hrs & ignoring the rest for human drama as for King Kong in the Monsterverse he's just a teen 1st off & while I love the 05 skull island the new 1 is also very interesting they should've used the 05 skull island in the Monsterverse & feature a full grown Kong on the island Peter Jackson was a fool to ignore skull island through half the movie he could've done a Jurassic Park scenario but his dumb ass fucked up something royally. King Kong in the 05 version was trash 25 ft tall a damn joke that's like making Godzilla 60 ft it was trash Kong wasn't done justice but when he's fully grown in the Monsterverse he'll be a true monster .

Fabulous artwork for a re-imagining of Skull Island which is by far the best, IMHO, since the great Willis O'Brien's from the original 1933 'King Kong'. I love the sense you have of an incredibly ancient culture, long departed, whose monuments alone, eroding in the jungle, remain

The 2005 king kong movie is better than the 2017 movie due to the fact that the 2005 movie captures the creepy ambience better. The 2017 movie feels cheap. It's not creepy. It doesn't make you feel like you're in a different dark world. It's lame. The 2005 movie had it's flaws but it's the best thing we have. Honestly, we need a king kong movie series with multiple movies in order to capture skull island in it's full completion. This video alone is better than the 2017 movie. We need a new movie that comes close to this. I love this!

Peter Jackson did a tremendous job with world building for Skull Island in King Kong (2005). It felt real, lived in, and authentic unlike the Hollywood cheese we see in the recent Legendary pictures monstercrap. I implore you to watch the documentary Jackson and Co did on the history of Skull Island, found in the DVD and BluRay releases of the movie. It’s remarkable how it’s already been nearly 20 years since the movie came out, I remember watching it for the first time to this day, and also rewatching the DVDs special editions countless times.

Well, this much is already certain- Peter Jackson got Skull Island right whereas Kong: Skull Island hasn't. Talk about a swing & a miss! Kong: Skull Island has none of the deep, dark, luscious jungle environs it's predecessors contained. This new one basically looks to be little more than an excuse for the cast and crew to shoot in Hawaii for a few months.

The new skull island had the same life like the ones in the 2005 version, but were all driven to extinction by the skull crawlers, as they ate almost everything in their sight. Now all that's left are skeletons, creatures that were too small for them to eat, and rare species like the skier buffalo. Although the 2005 and 2017 movies are not connected, you could kinda say the 2017 skull island looked like 2005's version before the skull crawlers came up.
