Interesting tidbit, Dave grohl was the only member of the foo fighters on their first album and played every instrument. He then put it all together in the studio to make the songs. Great musician and kickass band.

You may know this but the front man was the drummer for Nirvana. He bought the legendary Neve analog board that Nirvana recorded on from Sound City Studios and now records his music on it. There's an amazing documentary on it called Sound City. Worth a watch for sure.
