Hi again mate :) the problem is the motor, it's way, way underpowered. When I took it for a run yesterday with a 15T pinion the motor got to 85c with the fans on, that's like 100c without the fans. I took the motor out, and straight away I thought it felt light. I then looked in the screw holes and I couldn't see anything. Normally you can see the end of the stator. I put a screw driver in one of the holes and it just kept going...for a whole 25mm, so the stator is like only 80mm long. So the motor is in fact only a 5482, 54x82mm, not 56113 like it says. I also weighed it and it weighs 820grams, all other motors that are 56x113 weigh around 1150grams, 300grams heavier. I was suspicious from the start when KM say its a 3500kw (kilowatt) motor, thats like 1000 horsepower lol. 3500watt is more like it, like I said earlier, and 3500watt is how much power a leopard 1/8 scale 4282 puts out, so its absolutely way underpowerd, and drawing excessive amounts of amps, hence the short run time. I've already bought the SkyRC beast X528 58113 780kv. 7350watt, and I'll run it with an 18T pinion, it won't even break a sweat, and certainly won't need a cooling fan

I've seen people use them in Losi 5ive's without issue, I've also never seen anyone get a motor temp of 85c..... mine never got any where near that as I also check mine during runs with a temp gun and while I can't remember the temp mine ran at I would of stopped using it if temps got that high. What ESC did yours come with? KM Baja offers the same run times as a genuine HPI Baja Flux and that has a castle 2028 fitted...

@@almighty151986 Mine came with the Hobbywing Max5, it's genuine as it has Hobbywing molded into the plastic on the bottom. I run a Leopard 58110 with a Max5 in my Losi DBXLe which weighs a good 7kg more and it runs as cool as

You need a bit of throttle control dude, and tune the rear suspension to keep it off it's roof, the rear end is bouncing around instead of absorbing the bumps. Thicker shock oil will fix that as the springs are rebounding too much. I just bought one myself and can't wait for it to arrive

Prepare to be disappointed.

Lol, I won't be disappointed. I've been playing with RC for decades and know how to make them run to perfection. It's only ever a few simple modifications ;)

I know how to run them properly too......... 7 minute run time is pure disappointment.

I'll be using my GensAce 7200mah 60C lipos. I have 6 of them for a total of about 45mins run time. I have 2 other 1/5 electric, a Losi DBXLe with a big Leopard 58110 950kv, and a Losi 5iveB brushless conversion running the Castle XLX 800kv combo. These 1/5 electric have 7000watt plus motors, they draw allot of amps, so you have to either buy larger capacity lipos, or a truck load of smaller capacity. I prefer the larger capacity instead of changing batteries every few minutes

If you don't want to buy bigger capacity lipo's, there's 2 simple little things you can do to get more run time. You're running a 17T pinion aren't you? lower that to 16T, and secondly program the ESC's punch control. HW ESC's are usually set at 3, so lower the punch to 2. Just those 2 things should give you an extra minute of run time ;)

Hi mate :) how are the motor temps with a 17T pinion?

They were fine.....batteries never lasted long enough to be an issue either tbh.
