King of Haulover is Talking Chit ! Show me the Weed Officer ! (Haulover Inlet)

Drug bust at Haulover Inlet created a huge Chit Show at Haulover boat ramp today. We spoke to a Bay Harbor police officer who had one suspect in custody. Over 700 Pounds of marijuana were confiscated and the boat "immortal" was damaged during the chase.

I talked to a guy who has been outta jail for 5 years. He told us originally they used stuff like releasing 20' ropes with spreaders that lots of thick fishing line to help catch the prop, and a couple drifting socks to help slow them down once intangled. They had a tube coming out the back, a guy inside would start sending them out while swerving left to right covering a wide area, but not being dramatic, or obvious. After almost getting caught from a coast guard boat coming from the front, and actually boarding them. They had a sailboat with bilge keels (2 keels) that had magnet releases with pods that would detach, and sink a few hundred feet. They were remotely controlled to surface when triggered, reattached, while "fishing", then flooded again to sink, ready for the next time. All of this from stuff from RC boat, and car stuff. He was caught after unloading, and taking the coke to the drop off spot. He said the new ways smugglers use are Tesla batteries, motors, and solar panels to extend the range are being tried. A guy who worked on underwater drones for mapping the sea floor was paid to help design drones, and small subs. The older subs used diesel, and had to have people in them, with the new ones, they dont want to use humans. Carbon fiber, kevlar, and anything they can use instead of metals are used to help avoid detection. If the drone is intercepted, a self destruct can be added to wipeout the waypoints, or any of there programming once they try to open it without the right "key" or steps taken. They use the Oceans current as much as possible, and basically use power for steering. With being able to use Solar to extend the range, the possibilities are endless. There is solor panels that can be charged up to 9 meters underwater, which I never knew until talking to him. He said the military made Gain 9 solar cells that use certain spectrums of the sun to charge. So gliding just under the water, these things can be recharging, then dive if it detects a ship nearby. Also add in Starlink coming online, giving internet throughout the world (eventually), these will also be able to use cameras, and a operator to help control, and watch for hazards. As it is now, they could be made to follow a boat at a distance, to watch for problems, or assist if issues, or recharging is needed, or be made to fully captain itself from point A, B , C, etc.. The money smugglers are spending is Crazy. Yet each one pays for itself in just One load. Imagine a load leaving Columbia, coming up past New York, and up around into the Great lakes, or up the Mississippi. Once in the many waterways, the local Coastguard or law Enforcement are not equipped to locate these things unless they get a tip, or are lucky somehow. With bitcoin and other ways, only the empty drone goes back to South America for another trip. No nation with Ocean access will be a problem. The Coastguard and other militaries of the world already have a hard time intercepting the diesel Powered ones with humans in them, and that is being able to spot them. Looking for a 20' submerged drone, only using enough power to steer it, or to creep along conserving power extending range, but also to cut down on noise, which is how Military subs find other subs, with little radar signatures. If these fools have figured out a way to coat the drones to block the batteries from being picked up, or a prop design to eliminate noise, the only way will be visual, or picking up signals from internet access, and then only when using it. The Only way I see around this is to Stop the war on Drugs. I dont like drugs, but I feel the war on drugs is a huge fail. If by making drugs medical, instead of criminal, We can stop a lot of death, and destruction. Make the supply legal stops all of the crime with it, can be controlled and made somewhat safer in the sense of knowing what, how strong, and who is in the supply chain. Create Legal jobs, and Taxed money. Thousands of People killed across the world that are killed over the supply network every year will cease. Yes, there will still be issues, but the amount of Overdoses alone caused by poorly mixed ingredients, or not even what they thought they were buying, will save lives. Every country could use some of the taxes for education of drugs, rehab centers, and even safe places, with a nurse/doctor on duty for people experiencing medical issues. Clean and proper equipment for the drug they're using will save lives. I know people are not willing to go for a fully legalizing, but think about what is going on now, and how many lives could be saved. The proof is out there. Over 25 countries have decriminalized drugs, mainly Cannabis, some have decriminalized all. Overdosing, use of drugs, diseases like HIV and Hepatitis (especially in places that help provide Equipment and/or safe places to use), overall crime, and obviously incarceration has all dropped. If you see any problems, disagree, or agree with what I believe on this issue, I Definitely welcome open discussion, feedback, or even anything I haven't touched on in my statement, please feel free to ask, or comment. Yes I know this is just a YT comment, but I got your attention enough to read this far. We are never going to change, or get better at what it is now by keeping quiet, not talking, or just downgrading anyone who cares enough to try something. My Brother, and some family friends have died from overdosing. In my brother's case, it was a relapse, and it was some strong heroin/fentanyl.. drugs destroy perfectly good people. Another lady I knew passed from pills. She was cut off of a strong dose from her doctor after testing positive for meth. She was taking Broncaid which is a Over the counter medicine, and gave a false positive, until it was re-tested in a lab. Her Doctor did not refill her prescription, until the test came back, and after getting Real sick from withdrawal, she bought some off a person. She did it so she could go to work, and not loose her job. Those happened to be fake pills, but had fentanyl in them. She did not know why she tested positive, and didn't disclose she had taken bronkaid since it was an OTC med, and not knowing that would show up as Meth. She was not offered any rehab to help her through, only cut off being told that if it came back as not being meth, he would refill her script. Yes her doctor handled it wrong, and so did she to by not mentioning the bronkaid. She said she didn't think about it to tell them. With legal ways to get these drugs, neither of them would have died that day. Both left behind children, those children all have issues due to them losing a parent. Those children are all at a higher risk of following their parents footsteps. Rinse, Repeat, and the cycle continues. May your family be blessed into never dealing with addiction, but until there is change, it will keep revolving. One last point to think about, when drugs were not illegal, drugs were no where near an issue as they are now. Drugs were there, they were being used, and more then we were taught in school. Dig up any place where an outhouse had been back then. You are Very likely to find bottles that had an Opium, or Cocaine based product as the active ingredient. No most people were not addicts, and neither was the crime that revolved around it. It will not stop all crime. Beside the crime of having/using drugs no longer being criminal, but crime rates as a whole has dropped in places it has been decriminalized. This will give the Law Enforcement more time to dedicate to theft, murders, rapes, molestation, Etc., Etc..
