I love GNa. She's my favorite soloist and she has a beautiful voice but I have to say I noticed she was nervous here and she sang out of tune at times. The song was still beautiful and her voice is very angelic.

Thy Dang LOL. How would that cause offense? Anywho, imo the best ballads are usually those that have soft, gentle parts, and also have a climax. A more intense, emotional part. And if the singer doesn't have the power to back that emotional part up, it falls really flat. This performance is just thin, shaky, and unemotional for my personal taste. For reference as to what I consider a more quality ballad, think Baek Ji Young, Junsu, Ali, SG Wannabe, Monday Kiz, Davichi, Wheesung. Those thick, melty, voices you can sink your teeth into.

Thy Dang It has to be emotional, and it has to be engaging or intense, Unfortunately, I can't picture this singer ever singing anything intense. Anything that, like I said, I'd want to sink my teeth into. (And just for reference, by 'emotional' I don't just mean sad) Heck, this performance isn't even emotional to me- it has no impact. I listen to ballads to feel something- musically, they aren't usually the most interesting or dynamic pieces- so the singer has a huge role to play. The quality of a singer's voice can make even an unaccompanied ballad beautiful to listen to. But this is, to me, a case where the singer doesn't fit that role. TLDR: If I wouldn't listen to the singer's voice unaccompanied, I consider them a sub-par ballad vocalist.
