I nearly met him once. I went all the way up there to do the Wasdale race because Joss was going to be signing the certificates at the end. I was a decent fell runner but got lost on Scafell somewhere, so by the time I got back to Wasdale Head, Joss had departed for home. Ah well, I still got the certificate. What an inspiration that man was
