Your uke and your voice are a perfect match for that classic song. I should think just about everybody would sing along to that it's just timeless. Cheers from the old county Stu.

The G string resonates better with Epsom salts. 😉

ive been trying to sing play and sing along with this song for a month. It really feels impossible. I can play it effordlessly on the uku but when i start singing the struming goes all over the play. Its feels extremely hard since the voice doesnt sync with the tempo and my hand tries to strum in the tempo i sing. I am gonna smash my uku to my head that might fix the problem.

It is a very syncopated melody. The first note comes in on the two beat. Try tapping your hand or foot, slow it right down and just sing one line at a time. I have to do this for songs still.

@@ukemullum So its not only on my impression that it is hard right? Would you consider it to be an advanced piece of music to play? Since i am still a begginer, couldf you please explain what you mean by 'the first note comes in on the two beat?' Thanks mullum!

@@skrap5008 I would say, in this song, the melody's timing or phrasing is advanced for sure. So if you count the beats to a song in 4/4 time. 1, 2 , 3 ,4 over and over which is the majority of the music we hear... in this song the first word 'Trailer' is on beat 2.

@@ukemullum Thanks for beign responsive! I think that helped me alot to understand it better! So, the first word, 'Trailers..' , comes around the second down strum motion right? Seems to be that this goes for the full song. 'No phone' also comes on the 2 right?

@@skrap5008 yesss!!! You're working it out. Count 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & and work out which beat the melody or lyric falls on. you will learn about note value (how long the notes last for) sometimes they last for a beat and a half. (like the word sale and rent)... They appear as tied notes here: dokumen.tips/documents/king-of-the-road-roger-miller-piano-sheet-music.html?page=1
