I have the spectral 29 Al and also notice that it’s only weakness is when going fast and hitting chattery stuff. The back end just feels really bouncy/shaky not smooth. I only weigh 155lbs. So maybe that is part of it

have you tried just having less air pressure in the rear shock? Ignore the recommended "sag" canyon tells you to use.

Maybe do a comparison between Stumpy Evo Comp and Spectral 29 CF 8 “normal” version? They cost the same (in my region at least) and have the same travel, similar spec.

Thanks! Haven't ridden the Spectral 29 (only the Spectral:on). But sure, there is a difference in general between short and long travel bikes. Didn't GMBN put the 2 bikes against each other? I suggest you find that video.

Hej, thank you for this video. I am fairly new to MTB and I ride 95% of my time in the Gothenburg Area. I need a bike to join "gubbcykling" twice a week in our area and I have a hard time deciding between a Stumpjumper, Spectral 125 and Neuron CF9. Which one would you choose? I am 1.80 and am comfortable on a S4 Stumpjumper, should I still go for Large on the canyons if you recommend them? Appreciate any answer as I am so divided :)

Best is to try yourself size wise. Canyon will have a few demo bikes at flodamtbfestival.se/ in September. I would probably go for a Spectral 125 since I want to challenge myself on the steeper and more technical descents that are commonly found in the Gothenburg area. The Stumpy and the Neuron feel quicker on the flats, though.

What’s your height for the L spectral, do you think someone 183cm could ride M? Asking as I usually ride L but the M spectral 125 is closer to the S4 Stumpjumper than L.

I'm 185 cm tall. I would definitely go for size L on the S 125. My brother is 182 cm and he liked size L too. The Stumpy is slightly steeper so the reach could be a bit shorter. The S 125 is a bigger and slacker bike than the Stumpy in general and I'm ok with the "big feel". It's always a personal thing though with sizes... You would fit on both M and L.

It's included. There is a multitool and a CO2 pump in there. Very handy!

Hej Kjetil! Trysil in general has got extremely smooth and well maintained trails so you could get away with a hardtail even. It's not very steep either. The reds and blacks in Gullia could pose a challenge though. Either bike would work very well, it's more a matter of taste and budget. I had an eMTB which was very nice since we went everywhere up and down that mountain. God tur!

Stumpjumper is terrible at climb..especially if it's not top spec model... I feel so short on climb in the group, TERRIBLE CLIMBING BIKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The winner of the 2021/22 Swedish Enduro Cup is racing on a Spectral 29 this season. It certainly is an enduro bike in his mind and I will go by that.

Jesse Melamed, a world champion, is racing a Spectral in Enduro World Cup. The bike geo is enduro. Enough to consider it an enduro bike I think 😂, 10mm of travel doesn't change the breed.
