In this video show how to take the side cover off to replace the stator hopefully fixes the problem with burning up the regulator

If you didn't put any oil in your oil filter when you start it up it some oil will go to filling it up.

Did that fix the problem. I’m having the same issue I’ve gone through 3 regulators.

The charging system on small engines like these are very simple. The stator produces AC voltage that then is fed into the regulator. The regulator then converts AC from the stator to DC voltage, which then is fed directly to the battery. So just make sure the wires from the stator to the rectifier are good and the wires from the regulator to the battery are good, if not then fix it. If there good and since you already replaced the regulator, then by default it has to be the stator assuming nothing funny is going on with the battery.
