To be fair, its mentioned in lore that these mages are incredibly gifted. There are local witches and holy people, common level mages, advanced ones, and the ultra advanced. Phillippa was ultra advanced. They can all (except really for triss) withstand a lot of pain. Triss is weaker as she is "allergic" to magic, so she can't use it on herself. The mages also tend to be very logn lived, (except for triss), they mostly have personality disorders, and in their long lives many have become somewhat detached from the world. Pain doesn't matter, but achieving what they wat does.

You've missed the point behind Radovid in the Witcher 3. It's not that HE can't tell the good witches from the bad, its that the witch hunts have become a powerful force in mobilizing the population towards his cause, which contributes to how effective he is able to fight Nilfgaard so he just kind of lets them happen. To me it seems that Eilhart is the only one he really cares about taking out, the rest is just a means to an end.

+Quilliam Attari At least from where I'm coming from it's less liking Phillipa and rather not considering her specifically to be loathsome or dangerous enough from Geralt's point of view to warrant any serious concerted effort to kill her. Phillipa Eilhart is basically a mid-carder antagonist who has dreams of being a political manipulator but when you look at her track record, apart from killing Vizimir most of her schemes wind up failing or end up being used by more dangerous antagonists like Emhyr and Vilgefortz for their own purposes. Like make no mistakes here Phillipa Eilhart is a terrible person, but compared to the real monsters of the franchise like Leo Bonhart, Vilgefortz, Radovid and Henselt she's out of her depth, and I find her a less credible threat. This is probably similar to how Geralt views her, he doesn't like her no, but he's got much bigger fish to fry and can't be bothered to focus on someone who has been reduced to a bit player in all of this.

What i don´t get is that yennefer lost her eyes in the battle of sodden by a lightning spell from a nilfgard mage and there was magic which restored her eyes so she could see again and had no sacrs left.... why didnt philippa used this spell too?

She's working on it in the witcher 3 that's why she's wearing the headband around her eyes, and it seems to glow

Could'nt Geralt have used Igni to burn his bonds then use Axie on Radovid and free himself??

This game's political plots were amazing. Truly awesome writing and story. I think it was even better than Witcher 3. Story wise of course

Why do people say they made geralt look different in Witcher 3? He looks the same here to me just with better graphics obviously

Witcher 2 had such a good aesthetic, I mean witcher 3 looked good, it's aged well and had great monster designs but idk I miss this inky vibe

Wait, wait, wait... If it was impossible for them to use spells inside the prison, how come Geralt burned his cuffs with magic fire?
@RHMajic9 жыл бұрын
I believe Philippa couldn't cast spells because of dimeritium shackles, not the cell. Geralt had rope tied around his wrists.
@EhCanadianGamer9 жыл бұрын
Ibo Fons In reality the heat of the cuffs would make the cuffs stick to his flesh. He could have someone unlock the cuffs for him, but he'd still have to rip them off.

Ragnar Of course not, in he's a lot more expressive here, in Witcher 3 he sounds more monotone and raspier, probably to portray he's bit older, maybe to make him sound "cooler".
