Same...for me it's because me and Venus and Serena are a couple years apart. 79, 80, 81 so I understand the environment and the times they grew up in. I was watching them play as teens and I was very enamored by them especially their parents because I didn't have a mother and father like that. Their main focus was their kid's regardless of what their own struggles were..that's kinda unheard of especially in the black community and the way the daddy vetted them and believed in them. The 80's and 90's was the crack epidemic and also a lot of single black mama's left to fend for themselves so it amazes me through a time like that this mother and father kept their eyes on the prize and kept pushing. So many parents then was depressed, down and out or on drugs. It was a dark time for alot of black communities but despite it all they persevered

😲 Oh-WOW, GREAT Interviewer, Great Job Interviewing These Wonderful People, Great Interview, GREAT Cast, Great Place, Great Backdrop, GREAT Man of The Game Is King 👑 Richard!!!! I Knew Sir. Richard Williams was a Great Man from The Time I 1st Seen Him years & YEARS Ago!!! I've ALWAYS Rooted & Cheered for The Williams Family & Was Very VERY Happy To See The Two BLACK QUEENS 👸👸 Dominant Tennis 🎾🎾 In The Climate years that they started in.... Even Back THEN I Thought Mr. Williams was a GENIUSES of a man & a hell of a GOOD Father!!! 🤴 King-Richard Spoke The TRUTH about The Racism in Tennis, The Media Portrayal of HIM & his BEAUTIFUL Daughters!!! It was horrendous to me what all Mr. Richard Williams endured as a GOOD-MAN, as a Caring-Father, & as a Professional.... I Remember that It was OUTRAGEOUS to say the least 😠😡🤬.... I can remember how the Reports made fun of him & his daughters & saying all kind of hideous things.... I Even Remember how Venus & Serena wasn't getting their proper endorsements nor The DEALS that they should have been getting in the beginning!!! Because they were BLACK GIRLS.... I remember how they used to make fun of their hair & say all kind of ungodly crap!!! It made me so upset 🤬😡😠😡🤬 These were children at that particular time! But to me they were BEAUTIFUL they were TALENTED they were Well-Behaved, Well-Dressed & it just still didn't matter to the haters in the Media industry! That WASN'T RIGHT.... I remember Sir King Richard Williams fight for His Children Wife Family & Equality the whole step of the way!!! In My Eyes 👀 They're BLACK Excellence Royalty & Power from the 1st Time they stepped on the seen!!! I've ALWAYS LOVED what I've seen of the family throughout the years!!! I'm So Happy For Them ALL...!!!❣️❣️❣️ I've ALWAYS Wanted To Personally interact with the whole Beautiful Williams Family 🤴👸👸👸👸👸👸🤴 ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ Thank You'll For Showcasing 🤴 KING-RICHARD Williams within HIS Great Movements Throughout The Earlier Days of Showcasing HIS Greatest Accomplishments Throughout ❣️ 🙏 AMAN 🙏 AMAN 🙏 Finally 👏 🤴👸👸👸 P.S. I PRAY That ALL of KING 👑 Richard Williams Family READ This 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 AMAN 🙏🙏🙏🙏❣️ ✌️

I listened to Richard in an interview conducted back when He released His book. And listening to Him was impressive. His life lessons came from His Mother. He would speak about Her wisdom and Her lessons to Him for preparedness. All I thought was, 'how awesome is that Woman who taught Her son to weather the storms of People and Oppression!' Then I see how He prepared His Children for battle, but on the Courts of Sport and Success! And I listened to Richard know that He just had to not give in to the naysayers. But instead to Hold Fast and keep His Family Protected and Close. So close that Family Members ARE the Best Friends! It TRULY TRULY is about Integrity. And seeing that Family ride the waves after Success came, before this movie, makes me feel both Honored and Excited to see it. I'm glad that this cast has won the approval of these two World Class WomenLeader Athletes.

They really paid close attention to details. Even down to the grip and basic strokes that Venus and Serena use. The two handed backhand they got it correct. Both Venus and Serena use a right hand western beforehand grip. not many players have this backhand. Michael Chang and Marcelo Rios both used this stroke but not many do. They also paid attention to the service grip not being a continental grip or even slightly eastern as almost all pro players use. Both Venus and Serena use a slightly west of Continental. Venus starts her service motions with the wrist slightly broke because she gets her power from her wrist at the top. If she wants to kick the serve then she tosses slightly towards her left side and comes across the ball inside our and up as she snaps her wrist into her serve. This also is rare feature and the actor players and film makers got that exactly correct!!! Like right on the money. I remember coaching a girl back in 1990 or 91. She was paying a USTA even in LA and I remember seeing little Venus there playing on one of the courts. I remember she used a Wilson profile racket. I was using the same racket so that is why I noticed, however, the film crew made sure Venus was using a Wilson profile early on. then the scene with Vic Braden. My pop back in 1975 when I was 9 years old was a member of coto de caza club which is where Vic Braden was the teaching pro back then. Anyway film was fantastic and attention to detail was obvious. I've always had a crush on Venus. Her personality is so calm. She so smart and smiles easily not to mention she is so pretty. Hit me up Venus.

The film and cast grabbed my heart so much that I wanted to watch it again. The film took me back to joy and excitement that was felt in America among black and African American families, when the Williams sisters were the highlight of the headlines and social media. It captured Venus’ and Serena’ confidence and passion. But one of the greatest messages in the film, I believe we can all take is to have a vision for self and family, plan and write it out, work together as a family, commit and stay focus while remaining humble especially in every victory. Also, don’t get so caught up on winning that you forget to live. ❤️💐❤️👏🏾❤️⭐️

With all due respect to Will Smith. The performance is given by Aunjanue Ellis. That is what everyone seems to be missing. Her performance is the best! When she walked across the street to that woman's house and knocked on the door. When she worked with Serena, and then when she told Richard what was up when it came to Venus wanting to play. You have to give her the props on this film. She was the best performance!

She’s a motor mouth that didn’t do her research. She said most people would rather hear about their first win at the juniors… THEY NEVER PLAYED JUNIORS!! That’s a big thing in their lives that Richard didn’t think was a good idea!

Oh my gosh, I watched this movie and kept thinking that the coach looked familiar. I didn't make the connection with The Walking Dead 🤦🏾♀️ I enjoyed it so muchore than I thought I would. The whole cast are amazing, and Will Smith is phenomenal 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾

Jacqueline Coley did a fantastic job as the moderator of this gathering. I believe she is part of black girl nerds (a pop culture online publication from the lens of nerdy Black women) and Jacqueline knows her stuff!

Did y'all see how simply and skillfully these parents kept their Family's amazing story for The Family. King was in negotiations with All them to come "managers." They built their Family's story through their literal Blood, Sweat, Tears and through the fear. Amazing story of the negotiation technique, "know when to hold dem."

I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE. I play tennis today because of these women! I was 12, wanting to play like Venus. She was my fav tennis player, she made the game exciting AND SHE WAS THE SAME COLOR AS ME 🤯 I can’t wait to see this movie a hundred times cuz I already know, ONE WON’T BE ENOUGH!!

I’ve never heard of the host in my life and I sensed that she was a newbie at her job and honestly I had preconceived negative ideas about her job, but after watching this WHOLE interview without a break, this host did really REALLY well...she did her researched, gave everyone a chance to speak and transitioned each conversation so well and effortless...she’s definitely gonna get booked by everyone after this...good job
