3:58 that luckily is not the case, although Luz is confirmed neurodivergent by the creator, most likely with ADHD. So sending her to a camp to "fix" a disability is definitely not a good thing. Yet one thing to note is that Camila (luz's mom) didn't want to fix her, she states multiple times that she loves her wild imagination, she just noticed how lonely she was and hoped the camp could help her make friends, still not executed well on her part but important to note.

LGBT+ themes are heavily normalized in this show!!! the camp is just about muting general behavioral "weirdness" as seen in the episode. these are actual camps for rowdy and "strange" kids who are taught how to behave normally publically and keep their "stragness" private. ive never been to one, but according to others theyre not about changing yourself or anything. just finding the right times to express yourself i think.

Not a Spoiler, but there's hieroglyphic-style letters hidden in each episode that you decipher with an online decoder (you can Google‐search or I can find you a link). The decoded words create a paragraph for both Seasons 1 & 2 that summarizes an important plot development. ALSO, the 1st letter of each titles put together spells out a sentence that gives you a clue about the shows main plot line.

@@WeeLassReacts I know a huge fan who outgrow anime before Abridged came out, so that's an exception I guess, but that also means he's not a fan anymore, so it might not count. Anyway the blue screen is also my favourite gag. It hits just right. About The Owl House, it is completely free from LGBT-phobia. Conflicts are never related to gender or sexual orientation. Dana Terrace wanted her show to give a positive representation on that matter, and you'll see what a wonderful job she did. She's a bisexual herself. The normalisation subject was more about being into fantasy stuff. I could relate in my own way, as I'm constantly daydreaming and living in my imagination (I really should resume writing). Even without anyone picking on you, you can feel the peer pressure to be a standard person and leave "childish" stuff behind. That's sad, because as long as you're a good and functional person, it shouldn't matter. I think you'll adore this show. You loved the first episode already, but I think it's from the 15th one it really hits greatness. At that point, each episode feels better than the previous one. You just started a fantastic journey, you really can't know what's ahead of you. How my, look at the time. I must resume my normal adult life and get to work. A long day of coding awaits me. This show was originally meant for teens and older, but Disney wanted to play it safe and wanted it to target younger audiences teens and younger instead. I think Dana Terrace did a great job keeping older audiences in mind while writting the easter eggs, side jokes and characterization.

Glad to find someone else reacting to this amazing show! I did a quick glance through the comments and didn't see it mentioned, but the show has not one, but two coded messages! The first one is easy, the first letter of each episode spells out a message when put together (so this episode's letter is A). The second one is much harder, there's a coded word in Boiling Isles runes hidden in the background of each episode, with the episode's word signified by an eye symbol before it. As the show goes on we're also given meanings to some runes so that the words can be decoded. So not only do you have to spot that episode's word (and some are hidden pretty dang well), you have to learn what runes mean what to decode each word. Many people enjoy doing the codes themselves, but if you don't and just want the words (which spell out a message as you go), I'm sure you could ask and people will happily put that episode's translated word in the comments.

Some Spanish translations if you curios Mija is a colloquial contraction of mi hija, which translate to my daughter, which is why it doesnt translate if you put it in a translator (which all of this is but that) Camila last line to Luz is "Cuídate mucho, mija. ¡Qué te vaya bien!, which translate to "Take good care of yourself, mija. Good luck!" When Luz meets king "Ay, que lindo" translates to "Oh, so cute" That should be all of them for this episode.

I love this show! You just gained a new subscriber! She is cannonically bisexual ( not an actual spoiler) but I don't think that the camp her mom was sending her to is a "conversion therapy", you coudl def draw a paralel but it's not what's said in the show. I believe that's just one place when they try to make the kids become "Normal". I think that would be fair Irl, imagine if your kid brought snakes that attacked her classmates and the principal, they would be sending her to roform school or something.

Just found your video and I love it!! I also PROMISE not to spoil a single thing in this! First of all so super excited to see more of your videos, this was so sweet and adorable and funny and genuinely a good vibe I can't wait to see more and of course to see your reactions! All the emotions!! And okay, you know how you said this definitely isn't targeted at kids? Well you are super right!! Half right! Dana did create this show for a lot of reasons, and one was to have accurate and positive representation for the young lgbt, so they could see themselves on TV, something a lot of us didn't get to grow up with. So it is for kids in that sence but the original designs for the characters you've met (Luz, Willow, Gus, and Amity alongside others) were all supposed to be 16/17 years old instead of the young age they are now, and the "boiling isles" was actually supposed to just be Hell, but Disney did make them change all of that and more to appeal more to kids. Disney made them change a lot of things unfortunately, but Dana and the team still managed to make one of the most amazing well written and beautiful stories I've ever seen. I probably wrote a lot, sorry about that, but I hope you liked the little tidbits about the real life half of the show! I think it's really amazing too like the show itself

Just a quick correction, Giraffes do not have the longest tails of Mammals. I don't know about land Mammals but creatures like for example Whales definitely have longer.

I have never been pulled in so fast by a show and then realised, oh the maybe 7/8 "worst" episodes are all probably in the first 14, from episode 15 on it's just hit after hit after hit. It's comedy, drama, emotion, mystery, character development and fan theories galore. Enjoy!

14:00 - Wow, I feel ya. I've "been writing" fantasy stories since I was like 15, but honestly I progress at the same rate as George RR Martin does with Winds of Winter, except I don't write nearly as well =)) I did have an idea for a story that I never quite got to, because it'd be like a sequel to another story, but it would've been about two girls meeting in this magic school and falling in love and one wants to be a healer, and the other didn't even want to go, but she has really powerful fire magic and was sort of forced to attend, but she just wants to stay and be a performer/actor at a travelling theater she was a part of. The other girl is from a noble family and she is very rule-abiding and reclusive whereas she's more extroverted and a delinquent and she sneaks out to the city and works part-time at the theater there and when the two meet she invites her to a performance she does outside and so they sneak out together...gosh I really want to write that story it's just hard to find the motivation and time and I'd have to finish the stories before it because their backstories are kinda important.

This is one of those shows I fell in love with because Luz reminds me of me when I was young and the world she ended up in is the kind of world I would fantasize about. Eda reminds me design wise of some things I would come up with later in life (and refine a bit), but her attitude is just perfect. I would have loved to have had shows like these growing up. I was in that awkward set of cartoons where we were just coming out of toy commercial focus to just starting to have over arching plots and actual character development, but there was a ton of censorship and heavy toy commercial focus still that detracted from much of it.

Just so you know: You're great, I love your whole thing and this show somehow gets better so it is totally worth watching more of Owl House. I see you are watching Gravity Falls. It's another great show, it is one of the best things I have ever seen and is embedded in my whole as a person. We will see some tearing up by overwhelming emotion. Another thing to know: Owl House was made after Gravity Falls and Dana Terrace, the Owl House's creator worked as a storyboard artist on Gravity Falls. You can see little references of Gravity Falls in the show if you look hard enough. Another show you'll see recommended is the show Amphibia, a fun, hilarious show made by Matt Braly, who also worked on Gravity Falls. You need to stick with this show if you choose to watch it. Trust me, you will appreciate everything and I can say from experience that the show brought tears to my eyes. I am so glad the algorithm led me to you!

And btw yes there is a king plushie and even a hooty plushie which is 4ft long and a luz one. There is 1 more plushie for another character but that you have to save for later in the series when you know the character

Luz is such a relatable charcter. While I never made a amv, I have written a decent amount of fanfics (and I still make them to this day because it helped me get better as a writer) I'm excited to see your future reactions to the show!
