Mato is the man. Sometimes I wonder for half an hour which movie to watch and I end up at this channel admiring games and commentary for an hour or two. Pozz iz Bosne.

In my opinion that is because Mato has a good voice to hear, and also he does not go through tons of variations every single move, so we just cant get tired of watching :D

Your site is the in my opinion the best chess review sites out there....most of the other ones talk to much, instead of brief overview the way you do...you may consider finding online sources for your dvd's because the newer computers don't have cd drives...smile

Mato, I really like the reverent whisper of Check...mate. Your style of analysis is both breezy and informative - well done, good sir! Easily my favourite KZbin chess instructor/analyst. A question: who do you consider the better pure chess player (assuming that opening theory is somehow removed from the equation): Capablanca or Kasparov?

i agree and ive won a lot of games in the nimzo when people trade on c3 im usually happy, doubled pawns, if your king is safe is a good price to pay for the bishop pair !

I think that exchanging dark square Bishop in fianchetto for a Knight just to double the pawns is strategically wrong, since you leave a lot of holes around the King which can be easily attacked by white. This is especially true if you are also late in development. Greetings from an amatuer italian player :)

Dear Mato, I was wondering; Do you also listen to music while playing Chess? Do you also practice against the computer or do you have partners? Anyway thank you for making these videos! I know it takes a long time to make them but they are really helpful. I played chess for 4,5 years from age 9 to 13 and then I quit for about 6 years. Now I am playing again, and I watch all of your videos to learn something new every day. You are gifted! Thank you :D Lenny from the Netherlands

Hi Lenny! I don't listen to music while playing chess. I improve my chess with books and I don't play against computer. I don't have a chess partner. It is good idea to have one. For more answers to FAQ see my Channel: About Mato

Black played weak chess. Ne8 and Bxc3 were awful moves. You can play Kings indian like that, if you go e6 with idea exd5 you have to take control over e-file and later play agressivly like f5-f4 and knight manouvers to some squares which white is willing to give you and with Qc7 or Qe7. I'm no expert of course but this is not the dynamic to play Kings indian and ofcourse Bxc3 is a blunder.
