I think it's the video they sent to Megaforce before signing and Jon Zazula played it to Eddie Truck asking if they should sign them. Cool video!

Thanks for this. Great. 1987 I was still youngish. They are still great. Why they are still the best band nobody ever heard of is a crime. Should be millionaire superstars. Just from work ethic alone. Not to mention insane talent and hard work.

Perfect tune to define how this band hit the scene. Was refreshing and unforgettable.

Wow, another great find. So cool to hear these early tunes knowing how they would continue to hone in their craft on future albums.

They were amazing. I was just doing my annual listen to Gretchen Goes to Nebraska. It's mind blowing how good they were on that album.

Thanks for the post man. I bought their first LP. The enthusiasm of the Kerrang writer and our similarities in musical taste led me to take a chance and buy it even though they were as yet unknown in America at the time. Saw them at the Cubby Bear across from Wrigley Field on a Thursday night. Had ear plugs in and was about 3 feet from the stage.

This sounds totally live, and outstanding. I feel for dug though because we all get older and the rigors of touring has taken a toll on his voice.

especially when you are singing too high for your natural register all those early years

Great post- takes me back to 1979 in ‘Doug’s’ band just before Kings X!! Look at the energy in Ty back then!

"servant" was the band I believe you are referencing.

That's a totally different guitar solo than what's on the album but I like it. It's a Ty solo.

it is out there but I always wanted to convert my copy... I will try again after I get every bit of dust off it and clean the VCR heads... I'm not happy with the distortion, the Summerland promo came out soooo clean I want that here. I have a promo copy of It's Love also, coming soon, thanks for visiting.

01:48 "Hey!! Did you get yours?" Maybe I'm reading too much into it but that's what it looks like Doug's saying.

Dude, this is an awesome post! They look a little like the Village People here but that's ok cause they still look better than me. Seriously though, thanks for posting this. Cheers!

Ego, do you know when this version was recorded? Is it just a very good demo?
@davidkoblentz2 жыл бұрын
that's why I recorded that little bit with my phone, the tape just says "1987" which is a little before the actual album... and they certainly did not play exactly to the track (like the solo, hah), only the band can (maybe) answer that. I do have the OOTSP demos... I will try to listen to it and let you know, thanks for stopping by, trying to upload more stuff as I now have a setup to convert all my old vids.
