Greatest band in the world. Unbelievable what they did - for decades. How each record is still something completely new, never losing the soul of the band. And so lovely people. When you meet them in person, they listen to you and appreciate. Never seen, heard or met anyone, any band comparable. King’s X just stands out. For over 40 years. Thank you so much!

I can't explain it but some people hear King's X and you can see their body light up and that " Oh my God " look on their face just radiates ... I love music . I have since I was a small child and King's X feels like MY music . Thanks for the new music guys ...it's hard holding your breath for 14 years . PK

So perfectly stated. Into the band since Gretchen & just ordered the new one. I read recently that they are considered godfathers of grunge or at least highly influential...I literally have never thought this or heard it even. Kings X to me have been & probably will always be utterly singular...in & of themselves.

Jerry is a huge part of why I picked up drumsticks. Top 3 drummer for me. Ty and Dug are incredibly influential to so many others, the band as a whole is... It's just incredible that we're getting new music from this band. That said, check out all of their solo and side ventures! Jerry's 2 albums are favorites of mine. Thanks for years of great music to these fine fellas!

First 3 singles so far are easily some of the best writing, playing, & production I've heard from these guys since TAPE HEAD... cannot WAIT to hear the rest of it!
I ❤️❤️❤️ these guys. Virtuoso musicians, and the kindest, sweetest gentleman you'd ever meet. Much respect and gratitude for all the great tunes for DECADES! I can remember being on a King's X mailing list and USENET group in the earliest days of the internet. This was like 1992ish. I was working at TI in Dallas (Forest Lane), and my coworker Robert Loyd, and my roommate Gary Grace from Jonesboro were both massive King's X fans. I will always cherish the memory of watching Galactic Cowboys in Houston with JERRY sitting next to me!! I almost blew a dube with Dug et al and friends from Vel.Ham. outside, but i was too star struck!

All the great side projects they've all been involved in are great. But, not as great as they are as Kings X. The new album blew me away. They came home and did what they started doing all over again. It's magical. I know pulling off their great vocals live is harder with age, but they are still enthralling. And I love watching the audience. We are all in the same place with these guys. The love shows in every face.

I remember back in the early 90's,..so many artist/bands "stole" from, or were influenced by KingsX, and I don't need to name names, or songs, but we all knew it was happening, and the fans understood this as well. I'm so glad KingsX is officially back kicking ass.😃👍👍👍👍👍

I learned about them via a blurb in Musician magazine or somewhere in 1990 calling them "Heavy Metal Beatles" and I was hooked. The combination of heavy music with positive messages REALLY helped me weather my father's death a year later (and he even got to dig FHL before he died).

King's X are a lot like the Canadian band, Sloan. They are one of the best bands on the planet, musicians love and understand them, but the general public didn't catch on. I don't know if their music simply goes over their heads (hehe) or what...but it is sad when some of the best music recorded in the last 50 years is the music that get the commercial success that it deserves. These guys should be multi millionaires. Performance, songwriting...it is all there.

I see the cross on Gerry, & the 'praise the lord' joke between Jerry & dUg, aren't they all 'born again atheists' like myself (one time Christians who eventually 'saw the light/truth' & lack of proof of god and moved onto other truths)? So I'm assuming Gerry is still a believer?

This is their worst album. No magic since they turned on their so called "faith". They say now they never wanted to be a "christian" band, even tho there are several interviews that claim they were. They were going to a christian college and playing with Phil Keaggy, Petra, and Morgan Cryar. They didn't mind taking your money with christian themed first 5 albums, but now turn on what made them so good. It's sad. I have met them and talked to them. Nice guys, but I don't like 30 years of deception. Their last 7 or so albums just seemed to get worse and worse.
@sourcescience2 жыл бұрын
My favourite band ever, and every time I see an interview I know why they didn’t make it. They are so boring in person. Still, glad there is a new record. Don’t leave it so long next time guys, you can always crowdfund.

@sourcescience2 жыл бұрын
@@DemskePaul2017 maybe not but if you want to be a bona fide rock star you have to be a bit of a tit. They definitely aren’t sell outs but they are flat broke and working in their pension years for a reason. Sometimes the best songs, passion, skills and originality are not enough. If it’s any consolation I remember well their close connection with Galactic Cowboys, another underrated band I love and they are even worse. Monty Colvin has turned into a bitter old right wing, preaching, grouchy old man who lives in a tiny rented apartment and runs a podcast that is basically old man shouts at cloud. Ted Nugent is very similar, but he has a quirky charm and he is entertaining to many. That’s what sells, for better or worse. John Lennon, Liam Gallagher et al are dickheads but they aren’t boring, so they get the big cheques. Being boring is the one sin that audiences will not forgive. I’ve loved this band from their first album release and I love them being music’s best kept secret. I’m just stating what I think. Watch their Headbanger’s Ball interview. It’s like watching paint dry. No laughs, jokes or anything. Like it or not, you can’t be a rock star if you’re boring. They are quietly a very original, creative and influential band that nobody knows and I strongly suspect that that is fine by them. Long live the Kings.
