Really appreciate the faster overview of the wheel! I can see these shorter reviews having mass appeal for anyone interested in EUCs wanting to keep up with the news. Then the longer teardown videos being much more useful for owners, or potential owners, of that specific model. Great stuff! Hope the pattern keeps up!

Adam, I loved this review, there is no way I will ever need to ride this model except in my dreams…..BUT, WOW, the jumps you and Serg pulled plus the camera work is brilliant. I also like the punchy style of the review, not too long winded but not just a slick presentation. Nice balance or agility in every way. Thanks. Last lovely to se the sunshine in your video, loads of Spring!

Hey Adam! I've been watching your videos for quite a while, watching your videos is what I got me interested in using my EUC as more than just commuting, on top of getting brave and doing jumps. I've been riding EUCs for almost two years and began with an RS19HT, However, I quickly outgrew its speed and range. Living in the greater Seattle area, my EUC is my primary mode of transportation for work. The RS was just too uncomfortable to be used to regularly complete my trip to work which is 27.7 (45km) miles one way , so I upgraded to an S22 and even added a fast charger. I've learned a lot from these experiences and have transitioned from scooters to EUCs, all thanks to your videos. What started as a brief comment has turned into a mini-essay, but I can't stop now. Along this journey, I began designing my own 3D-printed parts for my RS, mainly power pads. Currently, I'm riding an SS, and the jump in quality from the RS19 to the S22 was impressive, but the leap to the SS was mind-blowing. The main reason for this comment is to ask if you'd be interested in testing out some power pads I designed, which I currently pick over the Patton pads provided by Ewheels for my SS (I use them together for my commute setup, which is shown on my Cults3d page ill include below. I also have another project in the works that I believe would greatly benefit your role as a wheel reviewer and tester. I would need to discuss the project with you privately to share the details. The pads that I would love for you to try were designed specifically for the S22, and its small mounting space, Now I use them on my veteran sherman-s and I love them on it as well for jumping. the inspiration for the design (which is in its first iteration also) came from the hand guards I always used to install on my Dirtbikes when I was still riding. I'll include the link to my page so that anyone who has read through this "novel" can check out the designs for themselves, I feel it's time for me to actively contribute to the EUC community rather than just lurking, as I've done for years. cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/toe-shield-jump-torque-pads (my everyday commuting setup) cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/whitpads-power-padsv1 (my first ever designed powerpads) If you're open to trying them out, I'd be more than happy to 3D print a set for you and have them shipped to you. Thanks for your time and dedication to the EUC community,

From my S22 spring change I believe what you perceive as slider friction problem is actually a matter of preload vs spring weight. Like if you dial up the preload it will feel softer in its 3:1 region of Height to Spring travel. But with a 750 lbs even that is stiff... such that you only notice it working on big stuff. I'm 200lbs ride weight and do 2' drops commonly... a 350lbs spring weight works (see my channel vids about it). It makes my S22 ride like a V11 on the road with S18 offroad ability to handle bigger stuff, and more torque and speed than any other suspension wheel. I'm waiting for a controller to get my S22 running again. The new firmware bricked it over bms cable error. ouch
@rhalfik2 жыл бұрын
I still think sliders are a bad idea if you can achieve the same effect with pivots like in the batwheel Inmotion V10f from this channel. You can see that the sliding parts are consumable and it makes me worry how long this enclosure is going to last.
@reitze012 жыл бұрын
@@rhalfik Yea sure they will wear. Sliders on my S18 are scratched up badly. The S22 seems to slide much easier than the S18 did. V11 was smoothest slide, but most top-heavy of all (IMHO).

Thanks for a nice review, couple of comments: - Regarding the water damage on those packs dropped in water, I don't think any wheel or batteries would survive that to be fair and it's too much to expect from manufactures at this point in time, other than that this wheel seems to have pretty good water/rain-proofing, big plus for bearing seals. - Samsung 40T cells I believe was exclusive to eWheels because they demanded that, I don't think it's a global thing, unless you have a source saying otherwise? - Sliders is a bit unfortunate but it does seem that dry PTFE lube really makes them work a lot better, ecodrift did the same thing with great results. As with any suspension system it will require maintenance, the key question is how often and how difficult it will be to perform it. -Shame that the lights are so blinding, I had higher expectation honestly.

the v12's battery packs are ipx7 rated for complete submersion
@RonnieRides2 жыл бұрын
@@thewinter_ no they aren't, IPX rating is something that EUC manufactures like to claim without merit, it costs a fortune and is a lengthy process to get something IPX certified and a small niche Chinese company is not going to do that. One would think that it would be an easy adaptation in manufacturing for KingSong to start installing sliding pads of something more easily gliding but still abrasive tough material. Regarding the back heaviness of the euc, would it be possible for the factory to move the battery packs slightly in the needed direction. Given the weight of the batteries one would think it wouldn’t take much to gain a good balance for the euc. And then replace the gimmicky back handle wit a rigid functional one. And waterproof the wheel?

Financially and practical use case I’m in the inmotion v8s area so this wheel I’m not the target market but love to see the skills on show on these high end suspension wheels. The suspension 'cradle' that slides up and down, has only the shock on one end? The cradle tries to go up and down crooked because the shock is only at the rear end? As the suspension is now, it needs a spring and shock at the front as well... so the cradle can go up and down without being crooked. Or, the shock needs to work on the middle of the cradle, so it rises and falls evenly. The fact the cradle is crooked under load, is why the plastic/rubber /sliders wear unevenly and need replacing... and why with the shock removed, the suspension is not smooth. Until the suspension is supported at both ends, I think KS should supply at least a dozen spare sliders free with each wheel, otherwise people who buy the S22 will be ordering spare sliders after a month or two. Kingsong should be making sure they have spare sliders on hand for when many S22 owners get their wheel and find the sliders wear badly from day one. Just my opinion.

I'm surprised they didn't use something like Delrin for the sliders. I'm not surprised by the lack of a IP rating since they can be prohibitively expensive to get, since they can't recoup the cost since it's a low volume product. Even in the smartphone world (which is certainly smaller than an EUC), some of the non-big name manufacturers will not get the rating, but have all the protections in place regardless. I don't recall seeing any EUC with a IP67 rating, could be wrong though. Even the high profile Onewheel doesn't have a rating, just some claims of water resistance.

Most people will tell you a smaller, lighter wheel is better for a first wheel. There are a lot of small muscles in your feet and legs that need to get used to this and foot pain lasts a long time. The down side of the lighter wheel is, you outgrow it in 6 to 8 months. The V12 is my second wheel and I think it's a bit too heavy to be a first wheel. I've had it for 6 months and my muscles are just now getting used to it. However, if you're someone who's going to fight through the foot pain and not quit, like a few people I know, and you're strong enough to control the added weight, the V12, it seems to be a good buy.

Same as if you bought the tenth generation and lost confidence. Your ability to return a used product depends on the return policy from the seller. So, if you'd never driven it, you'd likely be able to return for a full refund or paying a restocking fee. If you have ridden it, then you'd probably not be able to return and would need to sell it to someone else. Given the demand versus supply, if you have a first gen, you'd likely have enough people interested that you could recoup most of what you spent. By the tenth gen in my facetious response, you'd take more of a financial hit.

Once they figure out gear reduction, you will get a high speed and high torque unit in the same package. Right now, you're always finding the stall point of the motor when it is going up hills or at risk of it when it beeps at you during high speed; that's really not the most effective use of the motor tech lol
@zboot2 жыл бұрын
That's not the stall point of the motor. That's a limitation of the controller firmware. Based on specs, the motor is capable of more torque than you get. One tease about the 40T cells is that kingsong will then unlock more performance in wheels with that pack. Though I think if they do that, there would be significant pressure to allow such firmware to be used with the LG pack.
