Hey Bob. I was actually looking at this system a couple of weeks ago on Amazon. I liked it because you can use it on open flame also or at least I think you can?

yup i have not tried it on a open flame yet, but i bought it for the same reason. also since the philippines uses 220 volts and we use 110 volts i can place this on our gas range over there and on our barb Q , no matter what happens typhoon civil unrest etc we will always have a source of clean water

i am drinking coffee i made with that water, i just plan to fill up a water jug and keep it in the refrig.
