He was also listed among the top ten most followed solo artists on "Melon" recently which is without doubt the biggest platform for singers of Korea. He is the only member of BTS in top ten of that list and the only person who did that without a MIXTAPE of his own. His brand is truly unmatchable. He is not called the "sold out fairy" for nothing. Everything he put on himself gets sold out in a span of a few minutes. Everything thing he suggests in a casual conversation turns to the best seller on the platforms. Like Suga said Taehyung is like a Greek statue so his looks are definitely one of the factors of why he's so popular. He has been named as the "most handsome / beautiful man" countless times now. He is even among the "hall of fame" for some of these lists because he won these titles in a row for years. His lyrics of his solo songs are brutally honest. He doesn't shy away from talking about feelings from Depression to Anxiety in his lyrics. Nobody is literally doing it like him. He makes it very relatable. From Winter Bear to Blue & Grey, everything he works for turns to a masterpiece. He once said that his onstage and offstage persona is exactly the same which means he doesn't try to please anybody. He's unapologetically himself all the time. As a performer, well, I'll let his title "Idol of Idols" speak for itself because you don't become the role model of a whole generation (most of them) of Kpop Idols without being talented and unique like Taehyung. He's a lovable and loving person at the same time. He's humble and sweet so he's got it all. All the boys of BTS have impact of their own. They bring so many things on the same table and it just makes me so proud of them for coming this far and still going so strong. BTS didn't just paved the way as a single unit but they're ruling as the solo artists as well. Jhope is most followed idol on Spotify. RM's mixtape "mono" has the most #1s on iTunes for an album. Yoongi is the only idol with songs under three different names and being extremely popular with all the three names (Min Yoongi, Suga, and Agust D). Taehyungs achievements were already in the video as a solo artist. The world is truly not ready for his MIXTAPE. I can't imagine the impact it'd have because so many people are literally waiting for it to drop. He's working extremely hard to give us a masterpiece and well he's a perfectionist so the final mixtape that he'll choose to share with us in future would LITERALLY BE THE BIGGEST THING EVER. BTS is the biggest name out there. Everything they do or touch become obviously very big. All are popular but the maknaes are the most popular members. And in term of SNS, or selling out stuff it's very often V and Jungkook. V is king of Insta and Facebook, while Jungkook is king of twitter and Tumblr. In term of "search", it's also V and JK wikipedia is owned by V and Google is between the 2 depending of the countries What I mean is that you seeing those kind of videos for any maknae line members is nothing surprising. His name "Taehyung" is muted because it was trending like everyday even now when you look up the stats for twitter you'd see his name gets like 1.5M mentions on avg everyday but does not show up on WW trends cuz it became a "common" word n cuz of the algorithm it doesn't trend , like even I knew his name before I became army, his n JK's I knew. I mean 2019 MMA/MAMA when his name trended no1 WW even higher than the award show itself. These days you hardly see it trend cuz like I said its muted n most army's use it instead of his full name or short forms. Also he sells out LOTS of stuff he wears/buys and some brand even rename the item to for example: BTS V's square sunglasses.... K-media have given him LOTS of title like Idol of Idols(due to the fact ALOT of idols watched his fancams n also study him for stage presence), rookie idol textbook cuz most rookies study him, Stan attractor which BTS themselves gave and said he is the reason they got popular, most recently he was named the Kpop Representative by K-media aka he is the FACE of Kpop. Ofc all of them are popular as the others said, but the thing with Tae is that there are a lot of fans of other groups who stan him. Even I got into K-Pop with Blackpink and knew them before any other group, so I was basically just Blink, then after watching reaction videos or else, Tae automotically attracted my attention and I just fell into his trap lol. I know there are a lot of people like me, some of my real life friends etc. So I'd say he has a huge solo fanbase both from other groups also the locals who aren't interested in K-Pop. I think that is the biggest reason why he is the most popular, he attracts attention even when he is behind.

A little correction..V is also the out of stock fairy. Both V and Jk have the same title but k-media gave V a different title of out of stock fairy because of his thoughtful acts of helping out small businesses and save them before they almost close down. And I think V and Jk are both equally popular in korea... because V is literally the definition of perfect idol according to Korean GP and their standards..and especially with few unfortunate jk scandals, korea is a very conservative country so many people do not support him for certain things..which si ridiculous..but eh..they didnt support bts at first too.lol. and also V is literally bon the national news or on some variety show or his songs being played on big shows every single day and he ha sthe strongest network in korea and even bts antis love him.
