The moving machine gun at the end was the best part for me! Very nice work both in tank and video!

Fantastic sound card much better than my torro full metal tiger 2. How anyone can give this a thumbs down is ludicrous. Its brilliant.

torro doesn't got full metal king tiger:/

I haven't see a remote controlled tank commander yet - that's new... Also there are lots of upgrades on this King Tiger.. I'm thinking full metal tracks, the smoke for the exhausts and I think the gearing has an upgrade to make the speed of the tank more correct.. All these upgrades can double the original price of the Tamiya 1/16 RC King Tiger kit... About $700 US for the kit for those interested... You'll then need to add in a Remote control TX/RX plus lots of different paints and tools.. Call it $1000 US (without buying a spray gun kit) and then add on those extras if you have the extra money... Probably $1500 then 😵

I am not sure if a real Kingtiger could climb a sloped hill like that? The engine/transmission was massively overstressed because of its weight. So I suppose taking a few hills like that would quickly result in a breakdown, But at the end of the war when they were introduced, the life expectation of a tank was very short anyhow, so it didn't really matter.
@callumpearce49108 жыл бұрын
The tiger 2 was incredible mobile for its size and weight and after several modifications to the drivetrain and engine it was fairly reliable, by no means a Sherman or t34 but decent when compared to the panther
@boonamai89268 жыл бұрын
Callum Pearce The Sherman also wasn't reliable. It was just easier to fix
@dd-gl2qf3 жыл бұрын
@@callumpearce4910 The later variants of the panther (A and G) had most of the issues sorted out, the A variant only suffering with transmission problems and the G variant even had that sorted! The ones that served in Kursk and gave the Panthers their bad reputation were rushed, leading to shortcuts. The same thing happened during the battle of Berlin, where they rushed more through production and these also suffered from major reliability issues.

_Tamiya #56018 King Tiger_ can be had for like ~600.- excluding paints, 4CH transmitter/receiver, batteries, charger, etc... You'll have to paint it yourself though - Personally, I recommend using an Airbrush System and the new Tamiya XF-88 DkYlw II / XF-89 DkGrn II / XF-90 RdBwn II colors for a more authentic color scheme than what the original manual recommends.
