Cops are gunna look at you and say and ? . My point is that it doesn’t matter how you brought up or what your environment is , it’s up to you and to stay strong and better yourself not just join in what everybody else is doing. @crimpinurpimpin5 ай бұрын
@@pauls9034wtf you talking bout bro? You obviously never seen what the hood is like. When everyone around you is dying or doing dirt it becomes normalized. An this ain’t exclusive to Chicago. You look at any major city in the United States and you’ll find this sort of situation. People come from nothing and crazy shit gets normalized in the interest of survival and safety. If there was another way to live, I’m sure that MANY of them would take that over what they have to do. Shit, I grew up in the country when I was younger and I still seen shit like this happen over and over in my life. So you can say life ain’t supposed to be like it is, but IT IS WHAT IT IS. I think I love Von so much because I can relate to him. The world really showed some of us just how cold it can be, and not everyone reacts “hurt/sad/scared”. Some of us are more “hurt/angry/vindictive”. Especially us activist type personalities where we can’t see people we love get hurt. We’re born that way and it’s up to us to change or adjust who we are so we don’t end up dead or in jail. Some of us can tame it, some of us can’t. 😢

He was a warrior at the end of the day. I couldn't see him as a lawyer, but he saw himself as one with words. He was articulate, a poet tbh. He was different. He didn't give a damn about hoes. He cared about his team, his girl (Asian doll), and his family. You could see a sensitive side to him. A young man trying to have fun. He was also able to turn on the aggressive mode (what you often hear in his music) like a switch. He would often be chilling, being lovey, working on his craft, or making money moves. A warrior, a lover, and an artist. He painted a vivid picture, sadly not everyone likes fist... The way of a soldier, and thus: long live king von 👑

Everyone born in that environment doesn't turn into a savage. You speak what you don't know.
@justbreakingballs2 жыл бұрын
That's not true the fact everyone doesn't turn into a savage doesn't mean it doesn't produce the violence. See the streets in an affluent area and see if they look the same. If it was just up to everyone what they are it would be the same all over. Of course its complex but your surroundings do condition you. Peoples accent is the most obvious example of this. That's just verbal conditioning but other behaviours and crucially thinking get conditioned in the same way. When peoples mind opens a bit and they see their behaviour is conditioning its one of the first ways to be free but the neurological conditioning from a young age isn't easy to stop. It's like someone who's practiced the guitar everyday all the or life stopping playing it, yes they can stop playing but they will always k ow how, same with language, try to unlearn your mother tounge. You can't. You could maybe learn another language over the top of if and use that other language but you will still know the original language for yrs and yrs probably forever. Those neuro pathways are burnt into the brain.

It's really sad that the past kind of caught up with him just when he seemed to be free of that life. I'm not even a huge rap fan but I heard about his life and I was captivated. His storytelling is amazing and he seemed to have a huge heart inside him. Even through everything he went through he still had his heart. @@Greyalien587 He killed people cause he lived in an area that was gang affiliated with the option to kill or be killed, it's not like he was in a sweet neighborhood, and killing innocent people? he was trying to survive . not that it's not wrong, but you get why these things happened because we know how Chicago is.

His death saddens me. Such potential. One of the few who tried to help his community instead of forgetting where he came from. RIP Von.
