Bam, real talk...speaking as someone from the UK that's spent nearly a month in Southside Chicago (67th S Dorchester Ave) in 2016...them ends are no joke...at all. The people there are kool and the city is A1 but the ends are wild. You seriously can't wear certain clothes, I heard gunshots within the first hour of landing in southside and saw three shootouts like right in front of my rass lol. Don't go unless you have family there 💯 you'll have a good time though.

Chicago is a great city with lakefronts all around. It has the world's largest freshwater lake along with the Chicago River that runs through the city. It is truly a sight to behold, especially at night. If you decide to visit the Southside, check out the Bud Billiken Parade and maybe catch a White Sox game. Also, Chicago is one of the few cities where you can have access to many multi-ethnic cuisines on a gourmet level. I used to live there and I can tell you that the city isn't dangerous as a whole. The war zones are limited in pocket neighborhoods. The FBG Duck situation was rare as it happened in the affluent Gold Coast area that ranks in the top 10 for richest urban neighborhoods in the U.S.

Lmao the main part and suburbs of Chicago is fine so you’d be good there. And yeah Americans are workaholics (based on what your ma was saying though) the average American works around 41-42 hours a week I work around 39 hours per week but we don’t typically work more than one job, the US has the 3rd highest average salary not to mention the houses are much cheaper with around 400 more sq feet on average too compared to the UK (because of the size of the US it’s cheaper to have larger homes) gasoline/petrol is also around $4-$5 cheaper in the US per gallon the only problem that can cost a lot if you don’t have it is health insurance.
