I really like the little backstory we get of the demon clan creating the Albions as weapons of war. Kind of makes you wonder what other terrible tools they’ve created! It really lends credence to the idea of the sort of biblical scale of the first great holy war. This is especially true when you consider the fact that the demons, having created such terrifying destructive weaponry, actually lost the war.

And this is why he is a Sin of Sloth - he was so lazy that he let his parent (Sacred Tree) and hometown to die. And even here he was too comfortable to use his full power at first, as well. All the sins resolve around something bad or missed opportunity they did in the past or in the present. Not always the obvious interpretation you would expect.
