I swear I saw your reaction to the second half of Michael and Quincy and it reminded me of losing it the same way when I heard it that night. That is THE beat switch of 2022 for me. Also Nas was in a whole different galaxy with some of those rhymes. "Annie are you ok watchin' me transformin'?" (The obvious Smooth Criminal callout but also Ann Jones, his late mother while also equating his current run to a transformation akin to another MJ classic moment with the whole transforming in the Moonwalker video episodes.)

Great reaction as always bruh, it's really difficult to pick a favourite. One after the other, it's a no-skip project. It'll definitely go down as a classic! I can see your comparison with this and Jay's 4:44, but keep in mind that Nas started that grown-man rap with Life Is Good in 2012. That's a project worth checking out too! Both of these GOATs ushered in a whole new style of hip-hop as they aged.
