This was amazing, in a world full of "yes men" where we were awaiting the "album of the year" we got a very watered down album with no substance and more importantly no honesty or insight. But instead we received a rebuttal from AK that was everything that Drake should have done for his album honesty, truth not trying to PLEASE but instead just giving it up honest and raw. One of the best videos AK has ever put out in my opinion.

Idk who you mean dont relate to him. Personally i can relate to him now more than ever, from the perspective of wanting to be a great and dominating in whatever field you in, from having many light love relations because you just so invested in your craft or skillset that you love it more than you could ever love them and understanding the issue that come with that, to blessing folks in a way that they might feel is life changing where for you its more of an intimate gesture of appreciation for them. Its like how Jordan felt before he retired the first time. Or Kobe when he go in shoot at 3 am. Like “Amen” hits so hard for me. Second half of “First Person Shooter” is definitely relatable. I think its depends on who you are, what you doing and whats your aim in life, imo.

As a Drake stan myself, I agree that Joe didn’t say anything tht out of pocket. And this long ass response didn’t do anything but show how insecure he is about this album bc deep down he knows it didn’t give what it was supposed to give. None of those insults are things Joe hasn’t already said about himself, and flexing ur wealth as a response to critique of ur art is kinda sad tbh. It reveals a deeper level of insecurity I thought Drake had long moved past 🤦🏽‍♀️

Joe Budden is jealous that Drake was able to be emotional and rap . and be successful while he tried fail. Biggest KZbin videos and highest viewed podcast are almost all about Drake albums. Without Drake, nobody would give a s*** about Joe's podcast. Remember Joe is a rapper first. A delusional rapper who thinks he's amazing because he was a highly rated rookie. I remember when Joe first came out. Huge potential. He never made it and it wasn't the labels problem. It was him. Also, I'm Glad Melissa wasn't there. Joe would have probably turned on her and blamed her somehow from being from Toronto for the album and how they perceived it. Joe and ak were 100% correct drake is at the position where he doesn’t have to try to recreate the youths sound. I get that he’s trying to constantly update his sound to stay relevant but if he’s gonna drop a throwaway album like honestly nevermind, then why not just drop a modern iyrtitl. I feel that Drake knows he’s getting older and is trying to appeal to the young audience. Unfortunately he’s finding out the hard way that his fans don’t want to hear him just follow trends instead of focusing on his own creativity.

Ak i see you pussyfooting around your critique of the album but i think Drake needs to hear from a fan like you that the album simply was not it dawg. and thats being nice because it can easily be called trash. Its clear that drake is disconnected from what hip hop really wants from him. With all music drake has released recently the only one that really had us in awe was 8pm in charlotte. the Album should have been around 15 tracks with 7-9 rap songs similar to that. Wanted to hear a ross, wayne, future, nicki feature. I think the formula to a classic was simple this time but like you said... he went a different route. Hopefully the criticism serves as motivatiin for him

Realised why For All The Dogs doesn’t hit like shoulda. Conceptually, had us thinking we’d be getting something way harder.. Flip the titles of this album w Her Loss and it’s a totally different conversation. Her Loss is what For all the dogs should’ve been and vise versa. Conceptually and perception wise, these 2 album have an identity issue, swap them out and the expectations changes.

Drake hit a ceiling that he can’t seem to go beyond. Yachty is undoubtedly the worst of the young ‘rappers’ to be taking inspiration from. There’s no question that this album is bad, musically and content wise. Drake bout to be 37 talking bout some Millie Bobby, like niqqa nobody has been thinking about this. Dark Lane demo has better replay value than FOTD does.

That’s what i don’t get. I think a majority of his fans have been waiting for him to drop a more heavy rap album and it will still do well on the charts regardless because its drake. He dropped throwaway albums like honestly nevermind but wont just drop a majority rap album. Imo iyrtitl and nwts were his best albums as far as balancing r&b, rap, and the “new sound” at the time.
