My good friend who is a banker told me he knows a doctor whose account is always in the negative and a Tim Horton manager having way more money in her account than the doctor. The doctor has like 2 mortgages , yacht club fees, fees for different VIP services , many car payments…etc. it’s not about making money but more about how you manage it.

There’s still money in the music business. When a new artist signs nowadays it may not be a multi million dollar deal, but if they manage to get bigger and sustain a career, once that deal is done they can renegotiate for a much larger deal. The bread & butter is in performances. Artists make the bulk of their income from doing SHOWS, which is why you always hear them rap about it.

The women who can actually rap with the best of them like Rapsody don’t get much attention from the mainstream , but she puts out great albums and music. She was even a featured on Kendrick’s TPAB. She’s able to rap at such a high level but gets no attention compared to other female rappers.

How many people have you put onto her when you are out in a group and you play her music? A lot of people just use rappers like Rapsody to bash other female rappers but don't actually like and promote female rap regardless of content matter or talent. A large reason labels push "Strap(Stripper rap) music is because a lot of men actually engage with it vs the more talented female rappers whose content has more substance.
