The thing that puts me off this brand is that Jimmy has shown many times where the unit fails to perform certain functions which it is advertised to do meaning he has to resort back to using the Launch Euro Tab 3. This means that any one buying one is taking a gamble on whether it does exactly what it says on the tin.

@@stevenprestwich521 For me the price doesn't justify buying a product that claims to do things when it doesn't. If Kingbolen removed all the non functioning items and advertised it correctly then people would know exactly what they were buying for 1k. As a result this product sits in a bit of a dead zone in the market as a garage would want peace of mind that their tool could perform exactly as described so they have confidence when accepting jobs from customers so is likely to purchased a more trusted brand and, on the other side of the coin, the hobbyist who is likely to have less disposable income for such a purchase is going to make damn sure that when they fork out a grand that it's well invested.

@@stevenprestwich521 Actually it shouldn't matter as what is important is the bleuthooth dongle and the software. Normally, this eurotab 3 should only cost max 1000 or maybe even a 1500. The thing why it costs so much is because it's quite a high end tablet. You can do whatever you want with it, go on youtube, etc. It has high specs. Kingbolen, thinkcar and the likes only use the software of launch but don't let you use the tablet android system. It's locked out. Not only that but with the EURO tab 3 you will get all sorts of OBD cables (I think for old OBD1 cars?) and a battery tester as standard all in a case. Still I think 6000 is over priced for such a thing. Even Autel doesn't sell their high and tablet for such a high price, maybe 2000 or so at max. Don't know why Launch is asking for so much.

I like the K10 but as I usually only work on my car and friends cars occasionally I can't justify paying that much for a scan tool. Looking around I think the Otofix D1 or the ANCEL V6 pro would be a better buy for me. So many different scan tools available now but its the free updates and various subscription costs you need to check as well if you just want the tool for personal use rather than a business.

I had a new EGR fitted and it shows up as incomplete on the cheap £30 scan tool that i have. it doesn't do anything EGR related... i saw some videos that mention about driving a certain way to complete them but still no joy... i was thinking of purchasing a scan tool that is capable of doing EGR. do you know if this will resolve the issue as i think the ECU isn't recognising the new EGR valve or would a simple ECU reset do the trick?

£757. The Launch 919 is about half the price. OK the 919 has a smaller screen than the K10, but how much does it give up in terms of helping to diagnose and fix faults with cars and vans?
