To tame what is called a "uber" you need a insignia but for that you need to kill a primal version of that dino for example the megapithecus,wyvern and the dodorex! :)

Dmac the Lance does insane torpor damage so with some melee dmg you will be able to tame alphas with it! :)

YOU got a badass drake I can't wait until you get a fire REX and a dodo Rex and a alpha Rex can get all of those dodo Rex easy to knock out but it takes about 200 poison arrows with a compound bow
