go for the steampunk/copper building stuff!! it looks awesome and has the same size as vanilla stuff, so it's compatible. check zueljins base for examples. he said he wanted to build a museum out of it ;) also: level up musty and be the first on the server to have a 1500 dino! (after the reduction of the level cap) ;)

Hey Dmac, I like the regular metal foundation a lot. I think it would be really cool if you used them for the main part but then you build a bedroom, and on the floor you used the wooden foundations, plus some of those awesome rugs from either the castle mod, or the game of thrones mod. Both of them have cool rugs, AND they both have lots of really cool bedroom furnishings. You could put a tv in there too, and have a window from the bedroom that looks out over the main crafting area of the base.

Loving ark a lot. Every Time I've hit the end of Keralis' vanilla playlist, I go back to watch yours. This is the first and only modded series I've watched so far (as in your POV). On somewhat different note, it'd be epic if there was a game that was essentially a clone to this out there that functioned much better, but instead of dinos, have animals current to recent past and the present.

im kinda new to the channel so if you talked about this already, sorry, but you can command gamma and make the screen brighter. there is also "dino" headlamps and you can put them on anything. they are bright, cheap, and easy to hide.

The RFC foundations are just bigger than regular foundations, the reason why it was overlapping was because it was snapping to the foundation next to the one you originally snapped it to.

Building Xtra's did have something for floors, it had the wallpaper for floors. It might be possible to save time by using cheaper foundations and then floorpaper them. All that needs to be done is line the outside rows with better foundations.

Volcano island has a lake that's full of silica pearls. There is a star gate nearby already. If your after a tech cave have a look at the rfc stuff, its bigger but the railings, ceilings, pillars and stairs are very techy. Check Slip's place.

Center Island has a cave on the island that has an underwater entrance filled with pearls. RFC foundations are bigger than vanilla. The Advanced Architecture foundations are 3x3 size.

you should make patterns in the floor, like circles with the 3 modern foundations (wood modern --> metal modern --> metal), build from one square all the way to whatever the max radius in you cave is, also decorate your "zones" such as building, cooking, processing, stabling and such with the floor paper and different lights/chairs/ stuff to note what is in which area

Hey Dmac, about your pearl problem, i have been playing on this map for a long time and the best spot for getting pearls and oil is the small lakes out on the Volcano island, go check it out, its crazy! Love you keep up the good vids

In the advance crafting station there is a steam workshop which has more building options and I don't think anyone is using the building items right now and in order to get copper and glass you will need an advanced cauldron

Building in a cave with all the weird cave walls with how they slant you should build with the nc vanilla metal that way you don't have to worry about any of the walls of the cave preventing placement of a foundation

I see going through the star gate is a bit awkward, maybe later when you get the materials destroy that one and put the star gate right below that upper platform area so your bigger dinos can walk straight through without possibly glitching into the rock and getting stuck. Also is there not a furnace or forge that does 25 and even 50 metal at a time or is that for something other then metal. I remember someone making 50 of something at a time but can't remember what. You can also use ceilings as foundations if you want and even raise it on pillars if you want.
