This conversation is envoking so much emotion for me as the first grandchild who is the only one who grew up in the home of all the grandchildren and now I now hardly even go there. I guess the assumption that men will take a home is the first fallacy of our times. The girl child definitely cares more about the family home. The only time i see the family home thriving is when it is anchored by a strong makoti or mafungashe.

This was a beautiful watch. I love how she said that when a marriage fails, the woman is the one that is given the bigger responsibility of that failure. I just wish that the conversation would’ve also expressly highlighted how warped that is considering that convention dictates that the man is the head of the household. This was worth the time I spent watching it - I could watch this conversation all day. This podcast is the one. Bab’ Mashabela is brilliant. He was truly anointed for this. And so was she. Ayanda is a gift for black women, girls and families.

I've always felt that i was misunderstood, because the power that i carry didn't allow me to take things as they are and run with them. I always question 'why' it's unfortunate that our parents didn't know most of the things. You become the voice and you brought back our power. I believe if we can see that power we can definitely change alot. Thank you once again Mama Ayanda and KingDavid what a refreshing conversation.

Eish , Ayanda what you've said about your Father's death, it's the same as my father. He died when he just turned 42 , and he left my mom behind and she was 39. A week before he died, he called us , my younger brother and sister including my mother, he told us that he forsee his death and told us whom he thinks is gonna kill him. And it was his pick and he was just elected as a mayor 1 year before. That was 2002. He gave us instructions what to do in his funeral. I miss him every da It was hard to take, then 3 years later I left South Africa 🇿🇦 for America, since then, I've never set my foot back in South Africa. I now have a wife and 3 kids , I always tell them how my good my father was and how he died. I'm still hurt. Thanks for sharing Ayanda

You are definitely annointed for this Sir David. Amongst other things you are good at this is one of them. And the conversations with the guests are always great, it's nice hearing the guests speak and without even saying it explicitly sometimes you hear their purpose and passion. After so many episodes I am left either with renewed vigour that I will one day find my purpose and niche or with a deep pain that I will just be in limbo for ever. Weeee Shembe

Amazing podcast❤ It is so true that we don't take time to process things through, instead we rush into things with so much hidden resentment and most of the time it does ruin the best relationships we get into. It's best if we create a conducive environment within ourselves first before others could come and dwell within and around us and visa versa. Don't know if it's relevant to this but somehow was compelled to make this comment. Keep up the teachings. Thanks

I love this interview and this woman reminds me of me. I think I now believe there are twins in every creation. I always thought I am too opinionated and i overthink sometimes. After this , I know I am just fine, I’m just the character of Gods creation who is made this way. I love you Ayanda, I am now okay with who I am. 😂
