I still pray everday to meet someone that watches Kingdom. It's so easily one of the animes that gets me excited by even the mere thought of it, i love every single thing about it and even the bad animation at the beginning wasnt even a problem cuz it was just that good.

I absolutely adore the manga but the animation has always stops me from watching the anime. I tried to force myself through but after a few episode had to stop because I felt it just did not do the manga any justice. Will try giving it a go now that I know the animation gets better, or worst case start from season 3 if I still can't stomach it.

Yea most people that I meet say they watched the first season of Kingdom. I then reply "You have not seen Kingdom". Kingdom S2 and S3 are awesome but Season 4 is next level. The moment that Shin became a true force on the battlefield. A battle can be lost or won dependant on if Shin was there or not.

The only regret is they didn’t make the first 2 seasons with such quality. The battle between Ouki and Houken should be more hand drawing than the CG… By the way, the adaptation of this battle is worth watching.

They didn’t had the proper team due to labor shortages or technology for 2D animation for season 1 and season 2 because the budget was short. They didn’t want to do CGI but they had no option, and it was faster production. Please understand how really stressful the anime industry is for animators before you can complain about it :/ it’s not easy working 10 hours day + and making less than minimum wage in japan for 50,000 Yens a month ( $450 USD). Just appreciate they are slowly changing trying to get rid of CGI animation in each season

And also, please understand that I didn't comment without any understanding of the labor shortage and low payment in the industry or tried to put the quality of work before the quality of life of the animator. I just comment as a fan of the story and as supporter of the LC version in my country who also want to see the good adaptation quality as well. (BTW, I also made such comment on OVERLORD SS3's quality as well which most of us can see that it's hard to accept as it didn't portray the enrich details in the original novel version) I'm happy that this manga got the adaptation as it's good chance for improvment and PR to the wider group of audiences. But that doesn't mean as an individual I can express my feeling. We see problem here, chronical and severe problem in the entertainment industry, I think the better way is not asking me or other fans to understand the animators' condition (ask and promote awareness + empathy raising is great, it should be short term plan to be promoted and done, but not as the long term one) who you may know or know not whether he/she has the information you given at the first place or not, but try to 'ask for the better practicle and concrete solution for the animator'. I myself would like to help, even I couldn't come up with such 'sound' plan right away. So, if you have one, please suggest and I will definitely see what I can do. This way is better than telling me to "how" should I make a comment.

Because of Kingdom comic, i watched the whole series of Qin Dynasty 78 episodes and read many literatures about Qin history or 7 kingdoms era. And i realized, this comic/anime, many characters background are different from the history.. Examples, Ousen is just recently joined to serve the Qin army, Kanki, when he lost to Riboku, he didn die in war but he committed suicide and he aint bandit. Also, based from history, shoubunkun and shouheikun are relatives from same family(Mi family, their names are Mi Qi (shouheikun) and Mi Dian (shoubunkun) ) , and they were also recently joined. Shouheikun betrayed Yinzheng and joined Chu. Then shoubunkun came and committed suicide in front of him due to shame because his relative betrayed Qin. Others are, Kyoukai is a man (QiangLei), Yotanwa is a man (Yang Duanhe) and not a mountain king. Yinzheng lil bro, he didn't rebel in purpose, but he was framed, he was a good guy and brother. Also, Meng Ao (MouGou) is savage grandpa and Qin's primary general, not a loser like in the manga. In manga, YinZheng has daughter from palace maid... In real history, YinZheng has a son from Chu princess, and his son's name is FuSu. YinZheng married 2 princess in the same time, another is from Qi kingdom. The eunuch, RouAi (Lao Ai) yeh he is real, also had affair with YinZheng'a mother, the queen dowager. Later, YinZheng executed them, the eunuch, and the 2 sons of his mom, a.k.a Yinzheng's 2 step lil bros. Ahh.. Yinzheng's wife, the chu princess, is the daughter of shouheikun... Yes... Lol.. Xin, he served under Kanki in the real history... But yes, he is a King's favorite.. Haha.. Later, after YinZheng united China and ruled.. As time goes on.. He built many.. Including the Great Harem Palace... Collecting many woman, not only from china.. But other countries as well... Fu Su, YinZheng'a first son, is smart guy, and wise, and brave. He gets accompanied and tutored by Meng Tian (Mouten). Later... YinZheng fell ill and died... During a journey to a certain city... YinZheng was together with one of his kid, Prince Hu Hai (from 1 of his concubines/mistress) and the eunuch Zhao Gao. During that time, Li Se (RiShi) was the prime minister. ZhaoGao manipulated RiShi and told him, if others knew that YinZheng has died, Prince Fu Su will be the next king of Qin and MouTen (Meng Tian) will be the prime minister so RiShi could lose his current position. These 2, then joined hands, made false kings order, telling prince Fu Su and Mouten to commit suicide. They made prince Hu Hai the next Qin king. Zhao Gao gave many woman to Hu Hai. Everyday king Hu Hai only played with woman and get drunk in the palace. Zhao Gao, wont allow everyone who wish to meet with the king. Everything must come through him. Zhao Gao is the absolute ruler of qin. Later, he framed RiShi. RiShi got punished by the 5 kind of Pain, its the most gruesome and cruelest way to the otherworld. First, cut his nose, then cut his hands, then cut his legs, then split his waist... Then murder all his family uo to 3 generations. During this time, many rebellions everywhere... This is then the beginning, of the era of Liu Bang and Xiang Yu... ZhaoGao, who was afraid to the rebellions, since it gets more and more people day by day... ZhaoGao then killed King HuHai and accused him caused the mess... ZhaoGao then tried to make the prince Fu Su's kid, prince ChiYing to be the next Qin King. But, ChiYing was a smart kid, he pretended to be sick and didn come to the ceremony. When ZhaoGao came to his house, ChiYing killed the eunuch bastard. Afterthat, in despair, prince ChiYing said, its destiny, Qin is crumbling... On that time, Liu Bang and his army already breached the capital... Prince ChiYing asked for mercy and gave the throne to LiuBang. LiuBang accepted and spared prince ChiYing and all the royal families. Later, Xiang Yi came.. He was furious, because LiuBang came first. Xiang Yi a brave cruel warrior... He slaughtered prince ChiYing and all the royal families of Qin... Qin Dynasty... Turned to zero... Has been wiped out...GG.. 😂 Ah yes, HouKen in history, was an old veteran general, same league with Renpa(Lianpo), MouGou (Meng Ao).. Not a savage deity just like in the manga lol

He betrayed Ei Sei (YingZheng) when the enemies were Chu and Qi remained... ShouHeiKun.. Became the last king of Chu... Before died during Xin and Yotanwa (Yang Duanhe) assaulted the Chu's capital.. And that time, Chu's primary general was Xiang Yan (i guess this dude has blood relative to Xiang Yi, who later slaughtered the Ei Sei's descendants and the whole Qin royal families)... Zhao and Chu had deep hatred toward Qin.. Xiang Yi joined his uncle who rebelled first, Xiang Lang. Meanwhile, Liu Bang, was the one who founded the Han Dynasty (different Han during Xin's era btw). His descendants later, LiuXan, was the doll emperor, toyed & controlled by Dong Zhuo, the tyrant, and later controlled by Cao Cao, the greatest tyrant. This, the era of 3 kingdoms... Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhuge Liang, Lu Bu, Sun Quan, Cao Cao and the gangs.. Battle of Red Cliff... Was during this time.. Later, Cao Cao was the one who united all the 3 kingdoms, Han & Wu, and merged with his country, Wei. Lateeer, Cao Cao's descendants, will be tricked by Zima Yi (the rival of Zhuge Liang, the most cunning fox during that era)... Wei dynasty perished.. And Zima clan changed it into the kingdom of Jin... This is interesting, because... During Ei Sei (Ying Zheng) era, the 7 kingdoms, 3 of em, Zhao, Wei & Han, these 3 were called the fragment of Jin. But i dunno, whether, the kingdom of Jin that Zima Yi's son created later had relationship with this Jin during Ei Sei's era... Interesting yes? Haha Ironic. .. Most of people during that time, had path of blood... And as u can see, Karma is real... Lol

Their last fight in the manga was epic af, not even his lieutenant could beat houkan though she did injure him somewhat while tired however shin was already pretty injured to the degree they were even amazed he was still able to stand and in that condition shin fought houken. I wish someone could monologue Shin vs Houken fight like Robert E. O. Speedwagon. So I'll try to explain this fight like Speedwagon here. The reason why Houken lost despite reaching the pinnacle of martial skills is that he is only fighting for himself, to be the best, and to show the heavens that he has transcended humanity so that he can lead. He is fighting for nothing. Shin on the other hand, is fighting for unification of China, his family(the Hi Shin Unit), the people of Sai, Ei Sei, Kyoukai, Karyo Ten, Hyou, Rinko, Bi Tou, Ouki, Man Goku, Duke Hyou, and later, Mou Gou, Sei Kyou(And Gyou'Un if you want to count him as well). Hell, if you count half of those people, he's fighting for Zhao's army that's fighting against him. He wants all of this to stop, he wants all of them to live. Each strike Shin throw has the weight of everyone he loves and everyone's legacy behind it. The force of everyone's hopes and dreams, legacies they passed down on to him, woven like cloth. Meanwhile, Houken's blows have nothing behind them but his own strength, because he is a Bushin who clings to the old "Path", the old ways, the Shiyuu way. Like Yuuren. Because of that, the Pathfinders/Shiyuu nearly pushed their own people to the brink of extinction... That's why despite being an ancient bodybuilder in China, Houken is unable to defeat Shin with a glaive even though he's not even GG yet. Edit: Oh lol, I am talking about this fight + their fourth encounter.

For so much hype over this fight throughout the manga you would really think shin is going to really level up after he beats houken and be on ouki level, but no he is immediately nerfed as he struggles to beat scrubs again, it's so annoying especially when he finally fights that one guy they've been hyping up for at least 300 to 400 chapters hopefully after that fight Shin will be at least mobu level .

Too many people take a dump on it because the CGI in season 1 starts of extremely badly. It gets better though and eventually the show starts using 2D animation which looks a lot better in this case. It's not that important though because the story is so great. The manga hasn't sold over million copies in Japan for no good reason.
