Yeah, it would've made perfect sense to just pick parts that blacksmith will present to you, like 5 or six hilts or blades laying on a table, you tell him in dialogue which parts you liked, pay him money, and after a few ingame days you get the sword. Same with armor.

My personal wish for KCD 2 is a "resting option" wherever you go. Imagine being able to camp wherever you want. A tent, a small campfire, bow and arrow if you dont carry those already with you. You could go for a hunt, put down your camp, then going for the actual hunt, hunt a few rabbits maybe, go back to your own camp, grilling the rabbit, eat it, enjoy some wine, have your dog with you, your horse bound to a tree next to you, read a book in front of a fire, going to sleep in the wilderness... that would add so much to the immersion without being complicated. Just press a certain button where you stand and the game will set up a small camp for you... that would be perfect.

My biggest wish is crossbows. It's almost impossible to have a historicaly accurate medieval game to not have them, as they had an abolutely massive role in warfrare all over middle ages. I was a bit shocked that KCD didn't have them.

@@Griff_Gaming I have that camping mod and I love it. The last time I looked it was no longer available on NexusMods. Having the shared inventory chest does feel like a cheat but the bedroll and cookpot are perfectly legitimate. Henry routinely ventures off into the wild to hunt for venison and villains. Such a man learns to camp out under the stars, not scurry back to town to book a room at the inn. He's a peasant not a princess. The forests are untamed and difficult to travel. It often happens that by the time Henry finds the desired location that he needs to sleep awhile. It was annoying having to return to town for a bed on those occasions. You cannot plan ahead when you don't know how much time will be required for the task.

My very serious wishes - Fishing - Pet dogs - Home decoration - Wench laying minigame. / "gotta catch em all" For real though At higher levels have companions , since its not feasible to take on multiple enemies at once / nor should it be . But have like mass effect companions where you can issue either defensive Q key for instance or offensive (E key maybe) orders.

Personally, what I would like the most are: 1. Polearms that you can carry around and with their own skill tree, masterstrikes, combos, etc. Swords, maces and axes were largely secondary weapons especially in the late medieval era while polearms were at the center of infantry combat. When you look at miniatures from the period, most soldiers are armed with those. I don't want them to be an afterthought yet again. 2. Much better mounted combat. In KCD 1, mounted combat is super awkward and mostly useless. I never bother and just dismount to fight. Even if you do master it, it's super basic and there is no variation in how you fight. Heavy cavalry played a massive role in medieval battle, so I want it to be way more effective and I would like to see cavalry lances. The Mount & Blade series show how mounted combat should be done. 3. I would like a slower rise in power level and wealth. It's really silly how fast you go from being a blacksmith into a battle hardened men-at-arm in full harness. It stops us from taking the time of enjoying the game. 4. It's minor, but I would like horse barding in this game. I've always loved cataphracts and other heavily armored horsemen. In the 15th century, horse barding became increasingly common as protecting horses from polearms and missile weapons became more important as the rider became increasingly difficult to harm. And besides, it looks pretty damn cool! In early 15th century, this would be mostly mail or padded barding, but it would be very cool nevertheless. 5. It's hinted by the trailer, but I would love to see more love interests and not just casual encounters like with Lady Stephanie or during the quest Mysterious Ways. I absolutely adore Theresa, but I think romances are a big part of modern day RPGs and they help deepen character arcs and make the world richer. The possibility of being officially recognized as Radzig's bastard could be an interesting twist because it could make a mariage with Theresa impossible as he would be now a nobleman and create an emotional struggle within Henry.

I would like to see divergent story lines and roles. So you can choose to become a blacksmith/farmer/crafter, but that is your main quest line and play style, with its own story (maybe a great inventor building war engines) Or you could become a monk detective like Cadfael, an outlaw that is torn between serving his land that wants him dead, or the enemy that will destroy his home.

Thank you! I honestly can't think of any weapon crafting system I've truly liked. They all require farming for material, grinding for levels, discovering weapons parts, etc. I feel in a realistic style game like this, the blacksmiths will have all that stuff, just the more elaborate the design, the more it'll cost and longer it takes to make

Regarding number four: Battle Brothers lets you add on trophies to you mercenaries' armor. Basically, you slay beasts and monsters, and make trophies, then apply it to the armor to get resolve boosts, armor boosts, and other things. Imagine you slay the kingdom's greatest fencing teacher in a duel, you may take a piece of his armor and make it into a necklace or reforge his helmet into a crown to put on top of your helmet and get a +bonus on speech vs any noble or "fighter" opponents. You did slay Ragamuffin the Great, the kingdom's hero, and reforge his helmet into an ornament for your own helmet, after all. And for number one: Grappling! A huge part of medieval combat was grappling! Being able to actually wrestle an opponent would be amazing and could even be an opponent to master-strike. For example, an opponent performs a perfect block, or a master-strike, by blocking your sword they left themselves open to be grabbed, and you can actually throw them around, punch them, kick them over, or something else. Also, make fighting an actual skill-based thing. Most peasants should only know basic defenses, with most being competent with sword and shield, and not really being able to block without one very well. If you try to fight a nobleman or knight, he'll actually be trained in grappling, boxing, archery, and melee. If you fight a town guardsman, he'll be okay with a sword, but mostly rely on his bow and spear. If you fight a bandit, he'll have dirty tricks up his sleeve like sand in the eye, throwing it through the slits in your helm, kicking you in the balls and giving you a dazed effect on your screen, or even headbutting you in a sword-bind.
@Griff_Gaming
@Griff_Gaming Жыл бұрын
That would be cool to make certain trophies that mean something to equip on your gear. That way each run feels different based on what quests you've done and how they were completed! The unarmed skill tree definately needs more love! Grappling would be awesome and leveling up unarmed would be nice to have access to unique animations more than just punching harder the more the level is. I'd also like the ability to disarm opponents, both with unarmed and armed combat. It was cool how the combat system, with longswords anyways, let's you target chest, wrist, or face with different combos but never really follows up on it. I never saw the point of doing the wrist attack when I can get a 1 shot kill going for the face. But if you are able to attack the wrist and disarm the enemy, or stab the thigh and limit the enemies movement it would make it much more viable to pick different combos!

Good video. Especially hiring mercenaries would be interesting and a good way to spend money. He's my own wishlist.These would be some major gameplay changes though, adding a feeling of medieval simulation to the RPG style they had in the first game. Not very realistic I know but just wrote these down anyway. 1) Introduce week days -Mass in church every Sunday. The protagonist could get ordained through a quest and get the possibility to preach as Henry did in the Godwin quest. -Markets / fairs / recurring events every now and then. This would give more life and variation to town life. -More immersion in quests, triggering some to start on a given weekday. 2) Whatever NPC's can do, the protagonist should be able to do -farmwork, tidying, cooking, ordering food/beer, etc. Be one of the gang, not some unique alien. 3) More dialogue, interactivity with NPC's, activity in general. -would be fun to be able to spend a whole day in a town just doing normal stuff, instead of racing from quest to quest. -NPC's not always in the exact same location. Poor Theresa, forever stuck between the cauldron and that bench. Sometimes you have to look for people, and even then might not find them. Ask neighbours where they might have gone and they'll point you to a different town. Didn't you know a market is held there today? Frustrating perhaps, but that's immersion. 4) More random events, with even more randomness and uniqueness. -a possibility for a myriad of different possibilities and combinations. 5) "From the ashes DLC", but properly done. -in KCD, it's a very hollow place, nothing at all to do there. And you're the bailiff ffs. Customization needed. Make it your own place. 6) Introduce some setbacks now and then -The story line in KC:D feels too obvious, OP Henry goes from victory to victory. Istvan loses at every turn. Not realistic at all, kinda breaks the immersion for me. The economy is a problem, you get too wealthy too easily. IRL Henry would have been taxed severely. 7) Story line: More outcomes, depending on how you play -KC:D was a bit too black/white with the story... reality was much more nuanced. Hoping for more objectivity in the sequel. -The years following 1403 in Bohemia are historically packed with good stuff for the sequel -Keep some of the main characters, but add the real conflict they had with eachother. They were an oddly harmonious, goody-two-shoes bunch in KC:D. -Introduce a new protagonist. Henry is already maxed out. Retain him in some small cameo role though. Keep the below characters. The real life stories of Capon, Hanush and Radzig offer plenty of material for KCD2. Hans Capon -Ends up fighting against the Hussites. Breaks free from the guardianship of Sir Hanush, but not without Sir Hanush resistance. Sir Hanush -Often in debt, known as a robber baron. The view of the Rattay townsfolk of him as a universally loved good governor was a bit too rosy compared to what reality would have been like. Sir Radzig -Sided with the Hussites. Can't be teamed up with Capon in KCD2. "Istvan Toth" character -Not that different comparing to the real Bohemian barons, making raids across the border. Soldier of fortune, trying to get by in a rough world. Can be an antagonist in some versions of the playthrough (see below) but not a disneyesque, stereotype overly simplistic villain. Introduce: Matěj Vůdce (Matthew the Leader) -a gang leader, supported by the nobles who sided with Wenceslaus (it's wasn't such a black/white time with good vs. evil!). -led a large group, subsisted on road robberies and raids. Attempted to occupy some castles in South Bohemia. I'd love a story line that diverges depending on how you play the game. Join forces with Toth? Easily done if the protaganist is not Henry, therefore absence of bad blood. Choose to play against or with the Hussites? Be a passive neutral villager, minding your own business, just watching as the other characters pass by en route to their engagements which you choose to stay out of? Your own call how you play. If you play as a psycho, you'll end up taking a different route than if you play as a pacifist. This would give the game so much added immersion, with the added benefit that it would be replayable so many times.

I honestly thought on that mission with Nightingale they would have it as he mentions during the market times the shops don't close and its a big event. Yes! I want to be able to commission weapons! Funnily enough, that's how I thought the system would be in Bannerlord, from their first gameplay showcase. I was disappointed that I had to bring my own Blacksmith instead of hiring a professional. I was going to say, you probably know already why we don't have much choice in how battles are planned, but you're on PS5, so maybe not. Back in the beta, when Morcock had this hilarious booming voice, we had options on how we chose to attack Pribyslavitz, and it was entirely possible for use to lose, and we'd get a cutscene where Robard tells us not to show our face around here for a while. We could choose to attack from 2 other directions, and us scouting out the steeple, bridge etc actually mattered. I can see how it would complicate matters, as the battles in the game are prone to breaking now and again as it is. There's so many things that should be in the game but aren't, and I'm glad they didn't rush it. In the new game however, I'm optimistic. Mounted combat, for instance, was meant to be in the game, and they said in a video before release that they cut it because it needed a lot more work. In the same video they also said they had cut plans for a dog companion because it got stuck on things, so I am very hopeful this will be implemented as well.
@Griff_Gaming
@Griff_Gaming Жыл бұрын
I actually didn't know that. But it seemed like it kind of was avaliable at some point. Like he goes through individually of all entry points and in the cutscene they just decide for you which way to attack. The battles could use some work for sure but with current gen consoles I think it can be done. And I'd rather wait another year and get a fantastic follow up rather than have them rush it and put out something sub par. They are still a small team after all and we've seen big developers make that mistake. Cyberpunk 2077 was atrocious at launch and the devs have been working hard to make it what they wanted it to be. The new 2.0 patch finally did it but there's plenty of people that still have a bitter taste in their mouth from the launch. I hope Warhorse doesn't make that mistake.

You know what's another thing I'd like to see? Different animation sets for different skill levels. A level 0 peasant fights exactly the same as a level 20 knight. The only difference is hidden numerical stats. I hope KCD 2 has more visual feedback... like when Henry tries to use Radzig's sword to cut a stick for the first time, he flails around and couldn't cut it because his edge alignment was way off. That should be how characters with sword skill between 0 to 3 should be animated. Random flailing, improper cuts. As a character levels up with a weapon, their animation turns from sloppy to impeccable. At level 10, a character should still have a 50% chance of performing a sloppy animation (with the corresponding low-roll result).
@Griff_Gaming
@Griff_Gaming Жыл бұрын
That would be pretty coll. Seeing the difference between a highly trained knight fight and if you get jumped by a gang of peasants. They have implemented small stuff like that (for example the bow mechanics, under level 5 you flail your forearms) so I'm sure a few new animations for combat wouldn't be hard to accomplish

My one big ask for a part 2 is that the writing is as good or better as the initial version. The storytelling in KCD is superlative. The writers remain faithful to the characters even with all the multiple choices and outcomes provided for the storyline. And there is so much variety in the characters too. There is tremendous range in the story on par with any classic novel, gripping suspense, light humor, high drama, all very satisfying and engaging. And all of that while Henry remains just an ordinary guy who never gets too big for his britches. My one big complaint with part 1 has to do with the horses. I had no clue how to mount and ride a horse when it came time for Henry to ride for Talmberg with angry Cumans in hot pursuit. It was a bad time to try and learn. Then there was Pebbles. Some players are animal lovers who can be very sentimental. I was much distressed at the idea of trading in Pebbles like a used car. Nor did I wish to deprive myself of better horse stats. I solved the problem with a mod that upgrades Pebbles with the best horse stats in game. It wasn't about the money. I had the funds. But would it not have made sense for Pebbles to train as Henry himself must train? A minor complaint with part 1 is Henry's sex life. I'm a woman who is entirely comfortable playing a male character but I draw the line at jumping in the sheets. That is too creepy for me and something I prefer to avoid. Theresa's flirtations make my skin crawl. All I ask is that Henry's carnal pleasures remain optional and not a quest requirement.

Love the story, stays true and I kind of like that it doesn't have this "happy ending". Like you set out to recover your father's sword but fail, have the main antagonist escape and the war and all the problems continue. It makes me want to play the next game even more because this one ended on such a gloomy cliffhanger. Would be nice to also have a horse training mechanic. Kind of like RDR2 where the more you bond with a horse the higher the stats can go. Helps build a connection to the horse and it feels like you have a "buddy" rather than just something to trade in when you find better stats.

I'm not sure if I misunderstood, but in the Monastery quest you can find out info about the novices in a book and assassinate one of them without joining the monastery. All the main quests before the battle of Vranik have many ways to solve them like the plague at Merhojed, cribs at Sasau and the counterfeiter quest. You should know that if you have played for that many hours Also I'd like seeing crossbows, more and better polearms and bucklers in KCD 2. Good video overall!

So the ledger in the monastary only really works if you corroborate the stories they tell you against the ledger. It says they are skeptical but it doesn't say that he joined hastily or anything that you discover having gone inside the monestary. On a subsequent playthrough you can find that out but first time through it would have been a guess. I think that one was fresh because I was doing the Honorable Knight playthrough at the time of recording that and it was frustrating there wasn't an honorable way around the monestary quest (you either have to pickpocket the guardian or break in and assassinate the target, etc.) Glad you enjoyed the video!

Maybe everyone knows this already but I was just playing the main story mission "my friend Timmy". I didn't go to the windmill and instead approached pribyslavitz. It triggered to send me to radzig. I went inside and it let me burn one of the arrow buckets with dialogue and a mission trigger. Had to save quit because life but when I returned the save file showed nest of vipers as the mission. I went to the next food and arrow area(cuman side) but it wouldn't let me torch those arrows. The game said I was still on "my friend Timmy" with objectives to find Timmy and talk to radzig. I went to radzig and it triggered nest of vipers, completing my friend Timmy (but failing the talk to Timmy objective). I also noticed my reputation rise in pribyslavitz twice. Seemed to go up based on me killing the baddies. Clearing the cuman side I ended up close to 80 rep. I was 51 when I first was scoping it out and I noticed I was at 63 after a few(maybe 5) kills, then up to the 80 after 2 more .

After a few ingame weeks every npc looks like they've been beaten up in the mud its silly, there's bathhouses everywhere! Next to that, henry gets muddy wayyy too quickly no matter how careful you are with where you step - sticking to paths and avoiding shit and puddles. Im fine with him getting muddy if you fall over or sneak through the forest but yeah, that please 🙏

So I think they have a small version of that implemented! So most of the refugees around Rattay if you knock them out and steal their clothes it's all ruined but I once knocked out the Tailor and stole his stuff and all that gear was in the high 90s as far as condition. It might be based on status and profession. Some of the nobility always have clean, well maintained clothes while the peasants have dirty rags Far as Henry getting dirty I agree, it's too quick. If you on PC there's a mod where it takes significantly longer to actually get dirty but I wish it was in the base game. If left the bathhouse in Talmberg before, got on my horse and rode to Rattay and been dirty again even though I never dismounted or did combat the whole way over there.

From what I gathered they are refining everything so hopefully horse controls and especially horse combat is part of that. As far as the "easier combat" I don't think they've dumbed the gane down, it's a less steep learning curve. The first game was so tough at the start because even swinging the sword was foreign to you, this time, Henry has basic skills so those come more natural to him, making combat "easier". To master the sword and combos, those will still take a lot of work and practice so I'm kinda excited to see the all new sword animations and combos avaliable

I think you hit some great points, but I don't fully agree with number 6. Sure, it's easy to sell something you don't mean to, but one of the things I love about KCD is the commitment to realism. I do think we could have drawers within the chest, but automatic loadout changes would break the realism for me. For 5, a Pribyslavitz like place you unlock would be a great way to implement some of your ideas for spending or creating a base with hirelings. I hope the sequel lets you build your own place with more customization than Pribyslavitz . Being the bastard of a noble didn't give you a place until you were an heir or given responsibilities, so Henry is probably on track to be a trusted retainer of Capon but not necessarily a lord. #4, totally agree, ordering custom weapons and armor would be great but no self crafting. Also, I think a size system where you could not automatically wear any armor would add to realism. You should rarely get something that fits perfectly and have a penalty until you could get the armorer to adjust it to your size. Agree with 3, but hard to do with voice acting. I really think AI could supercharge RPG's by generating nuanced dialogue and even cutscenes. Imaging the possibilities! 2 and 1 could definitely be improved and probably will be. I don't know about seeing the wind, etc, but fighting multiple opponents is painfully difficult. I'd love to joust and have a pell where you can practice combat by yourself
@Griff_Gaming
@Griff_Gaming Жыл бұрын
So with number 6 I more referred to a seperate storage place to keep it seperate. Not necessarily an auto equip tab. You still have to pick which individual pieces you want and equip them one by one. I just have certain helmets that I use for training, stealth, and combat so a seperate drawer would make it easier to find them. Jousting would be so much fun! If they unclude that maybe more interactivity for mounted combat from the player as well. Would make polearms a viable weapon as opposed to now. They feel powerful but clunky as hell

My wishes for KCD2: - More and bigger battles, indeed with multiple ways to approach it and multiple ways it can end. The battles were sparse, too short and as such kind of an anti climax... Also being on the defensive side of a big ass battle would be nice for a change. - Less talking (and more action!!!): I didn't really enjoy the quests where you had to "go talk to this person, then go to this person, then go to the previous person again..." etc. - Indeed more customisation - I really enjoyed 'A Woman's Lot' DLC, as well as the opening of the game with our dear Henry.. Something about the vulnerability and having to succeed with the little you have, plus the dire situation you're in. More of that would be lovely! :)) - The weapon maintenance system: I disagree with you here, I love it. It was so immersive to me. - The environment: probably I'm the only one but I would prefer having the game set in autumn or winter. I know it's historically accurate that the cuman attack on Skalitz was in spring but it doesn't fit the vibe imo.. it's too hospitable - A bigger map! - More realism on clothing stats: I found it surprising that wearing black worked better as camouflage than simply green or brown or tan, which is the case IRL. - Mods! Wouldn't it be amazing if people made for example a LOTR overhaul for KCD? That's what I can come up with atm but I will return to this comment when inspiration strikes again!

I completely agree. It is a pain in the rump that looted armor and weapons mixes in among Henry's preferred gear. I want all new loot in a designated separate section, at least the armor and the weapons When I sort through it later, I can move it to my "keeper" stash or sell it at the vendor. The naming convention is just as important if not more so because it adds to the problem of identifying gear. Each item should have its own unique name. Trying to ensure you aren't selling off what you meant to keep is nerve wracking. You cant put your keepers in storage before going to the vendor. They won't give you decent pricing if you show up in your underwear. I came to KCD after more than a decade of WOW (World of Warcraft). I don't ask KCD for a gearing system that refined, but I would not turn it down. In WOW, you can create and name a gear set, assign a specific item to each slot, and when you wish to equip that set you merely click the gear set name from a drop down list and voila! Henry could designate a gear set combat, for stealth, for cuman, and for charisma. It isn't real world realism, but Henry does not put his shoes on one foot at a time.

I have always asked for hired mercs to be added as a new feature. Thank you for mentioning it One addition to add are *not only positive permanent perks, but also negative perks to be added* We have seen in the trailer video of Henry being branded, this would probably equate to a new negative perk of having a penalty to reputation and speech/charisma checks for the rest of the game. Would be nice to add more permanent perks to reflect all the good bad and ugly choices you made in the adventures. *Maybe randomly catch a disease after sleeping with many wenches* or *get a cold after standing out at the rain for too long, albeit a temporary debuff* or even actually be rewarded for being the local hero and getting positive remarks from citizens and even getting random gifts from passerby?

1- is realy easy to get rich selling bandits stuff. I would like the game count their weapons and armor count as stolen because makes more sense to me that would belong to your lord. Sure u can sell some pieces to the millers but with a limit. And you have to pay some sort of tax. 2- I would like henry to get a small fief to be his primary form of earning so he could plant and manage it. Get so staff to work in the fields, contract people to protect him transport his goods to sell agains possible thieves. Like spending money to get more money depending on your effort. 3- They need to improve the combat when fighting more than one enemy so siege quests becomes enjoyable. I would love quest with long battle in big scale like the midle earth games.

2 and 3 are both something I would like as well. Not so sure I agree with number 1. Technically the gear wouldn't be stolen since you're not "robbing" anyone but bandits who try to rob you. Now maybe limiting the amount of gear he can take (after all near the late game do we really expect Henry to carry 5 separate suits of armor on him back to town). I think rather than limiting the ability to acquire gear, make it so you have to pick and choose one or 2 pieces you can reasonably take

1) durability of all items 2x 2) stay clean 2-3x longer 3) increase nourishment of all food 2-3x, add cooking recipes, but remove free cauldrons (entire eating mechanics now is just find the closest cauldron) perhaps 4) remove merchant inventory chests entirely, too easy to plunder every trader every week and hoard endless money and equipment 5) remove armor looting entirely, I know this one is debatable but that's what Bethesda did in Starfield, one of few things they did right.
@Griff_Gaming
@Griff_Gaming Жыл бұрын
I agree with durability of shoes and stuff and it would be cool for some food recipes. Like combining game meat with cabbage and stuff to give better norishment. I feel the merchant inventory and looting armor and weapons is unique to this game tho. As you kill enemies you can loot their corpses of everything and take their armor. Maybe refining the weight management like you can't have 3 sets of armor on you but I don't think that should go away. Far as merchant inventory I feel that's realistic. Their inventory is all out on display when they open and in a chest when they closed. I don't think that should go away but maybe making it harder to access at night. Having the shop guard sleep in that room or it has some extremely hard locks, but I don't think they should do away with it
@bdleo300
@bdleo300 Жыл бұрын
@@Griff_Gaming I like to loot everything but the problem is balance. Imagine if you actually have the reason to spend money, to choose carefully and to buy armor and clothes from merchants, instead of taking pants from corpses or stealing from merchants and from random people you knock out. I'm not a big fan of Witcher but it's more rewarding when you find a new armor tailored for you only. Or Gothic 2 for example; unlike Bethesda games where you can just loot everything, but even they changed this in Starfield - only weapons is guaranteed to drop by enemies, while armor only some small random chance. Something similar in Cyberpunk. It makes sense, not everyone use the same shoes. Theresa can't use male armor in her DLC so why should Henry be able (or willing) to strip his every opponent naked. Yeah, I agree this game is and should be more realistic than others but realism-argument can be used both pro and contra; for example how realistic is to keep 50 pieces of armor in one chest, and then Henry steals them all, and then a few days later it all respawn. Basically entire economy and trade exist only to supply Henry's endless thieving. How realistic is to acquire dozens of Milanese and similar expensive armors when historically only the most wealthy nobles could afford one? You can easily acquire very quality equipment even early in the game, while realistically a blacksmith-son refugee could only dream to have such equipment. I sold hundreds of helmets etc, not even sure who need them. Almost like in Skyrim: you loot everyone, you even mass produce your own swords, eventually you sell 1000s swords in a city with 20 people! Drastically lowering sell price or decreasing carryweight is equally bad. So at least merchant chests should be impossible to lockpick. Realistically if Henry steal their entire inventory they would all bankrupt in one week 😀

I got a weird one: You play as Henry for the main story and side quests, but have the ability to control another character (like you do with Theresa) fully customizable who starts at level 1, with his background up to you, but maybe it can lean more on the criminal side, like a pickpocket, since Henry is a noble now. You can't play the main story or some of the more Henry specific quests with this character, but the more generic ones are available. The focus is RP and live in the world in this mode, without any story ties.
@Griff_Gaming
@Griff_Gaming 11 ай бұрын
I wouldn't mind that at all. Or maybe continue Henry's story till that concludes and give us the option to create Henry's son. I bet the story goes to the Hussite Wars which start in 1419 so pick up the story when Henry's son is in his late teens like we did with Henry, fully customizable and have him on his own journey (kind of like with GOW Ragnarök where you play mainly as Kratos but have the option to go out as Atreus). I'm not a game designer or story writer by any means but it would be cool to see a fresh character starting in a new war. After this story concludes of course. I don't want it left as a cliff hanger lol

Most of the blacksmithing work Henry helped with was basic farming equipment or nails....that is when he wasn't busy getting drunk with his friends.....I'm not sure that qualifies him as a master swordsmith but as I said it would most likely be a controversial subject

Spending money in end game is a bit awkward and beside one dlc there is nowhere to spend it. Hiring mercs is nice idea, but there also should be more in reapiring stuff - as if you find already severly damaged armor, it would be probably impossible to repair and selling price would be minimal so no skalitz cheating or hauling junkyard on your saddle :D + simple being able to buy some small house around Sazava and Rataj would be just nice, although not very usefull as you already have plenty to places to crush.

Though I loved Borderlands' "favorite" and "junk" tags for gear and weapons, going to merchants and selling all the junk, and getting a prompt when I try to accidentally sell something I set as favorite. Generally for inventory management I think it would be also nice to sort of filter by item type. Everything else, I agree with entirely. I agree with everything you said. But I have a few things to add. Commissioning a special custom weapon or armor piece should take at least a week to finish making, more if you are having multiple pieces made at the same time. I want animals to spawn more often and more randomly than they do now. And I also want more animals. Especially predators like wolves and bears. I mean you can literally buy wolf teeth so it make sense you should be able to hunt them, and be hunted by them. Also, I want bird hunting options. I was in Talmburg and I heard Divish and his assistant talking about game the huntsman had and they mentioned he had Quail. So hunting Quail would be interesting. Maybe have the ability to set up traps that you come back to check later and see if you nabbed any game. Crossbows. They are mentioned many times within the game, and the painting in the Codex of Capon shows him with a crossbow. And Bohemia was apparently big on crossbows too. So they need to be included. I would love to have Theresa play a bigger role in the game. And maybe have new romanceable options. I thought in KCD, it would have been interesting to have the ability to start seeing the Ale Wench in Uchitz after drinking with Father Godwin. She did try to get Henry to pay attention to her at the sermon the next morning after all. So meeting a new girl or two would be very cool. And have each of the girls have a different benefit for Henry if he chooses them. Or he could even hold multiple relationships, but have a chance for this to implode and cause a massive loss of reputation and close off romance options with all the girls he was seeing at the same time. Maybe it would even give a semi permanent debuff to Henry unless he can manage to pass a speech check to apologize to the girls and make financial amends to them and their family. And the single most important thing of all. Your skills must carry over to the next game. Or else find a really good excuse why Henry forgot all his skills. Like maybe he was locked in a dungeon for a decade and is barely alive by the time he escapes. Or just have another playable character. Though I am not big on that idea. It would be really nice if your equipment carries over too. But loosing gear is a lot more realistic and understandable than loosing his skill.
@Griff_Gaming

Totally agree with all of those! I love hunting so to see predators added would be awesome and more hunted animals. Only reason I didn't mention any of that in the vid bc if the predator combats ends up being like the dogs it would make it a pain. But if they fix that I'm all for it. Heck I think this the only game I've ever played the boars aren't aggressive and try to gore you. Crossbows would be fun addition as well. Massive hit power and acurancy but slow reload times so it would make you analyze what kind of encounter you're going into and have to choose between that and a bow. Romance options can be fun too. Or maybe the developers pull a Witcher 3 on us. Make it seem like we can romance all the women at once but they all gang up and leave us tied to a tree in the middle of the woods. So the list was originally going to be 2 things I don't want and it was going to be a character creator, simply because I want to continue the story as Henry so if there's a character creator that means we have a new protagonist. I think his skills should carry over BUT make the encounters harder. Then we can add to his already existing arsenal of moves, maybe new combos that can deal with multiple opponents at once

@@Griff_Gaming, with crossbows, you could do them like in M&B Bannerlord. Light crossbows would be weak, but could be loaded easily, allowing them to be loaded from horseback. But most crossbows would require you to plant them on the ground, lean over them, pull back the string with all your strength, then raise it up so you can aim again. Though these crossbows could be shot from horseback, just not reloaded. Maybe even have bows done the same way. Smaller bows can be used from horseback, but longbows cant be used cause they are just to large to draw back and maneuver. Something I forgot to mention would be that I would like to have the option to fix more of my weapons and equipment for free with a minigame like the grindstone. Like be able to pound out the dents in armor and stich up the rips in clothes. Though some armors, like chainmail, or helmets with a difficult design, could not be repaired like this and require either a repair kit, or a professional. But simple stitching and hammering should be something Henry could do if his Maintenance skill is high enough. I figure a simple front/back cuirass should be easy enough to repair, but a brigandine, which is made of many interlocking plates of metal and hardened leather, would be to complex and need a armorers kit, or a professional. That way, it would make it more likely that you might just take a less capable armor in exchange for being able to repair it yourself for free.

Ngl just today I was getting so pissed off with hunting. To be exact, with hunting spots. I play on Hardcore so its hard to find them and it pisses me off, that animals wont spawn, until you are literally in the exact area. So I end up running around a small piece of empty forest, looking for a a magical hunting G spot, so that the game takes mercy on me and spawns in animals.
@sherrykathman3309
@sherrykathman3309 Жыл бұрын
I noticed that exact thing. I currently have three hunting spots I am using cause they are easy to find. Roe is at the ruin where you find one of the treasures of the past chests, the boar hunting spot is directly to the west from the ruin, the the red deer hunting spot is at a pond just north of Sasau Monastery. Hare are found in most of those spots as well.
@Griff_Gaming

There's definitely a lot that can be done to refine it. There's even times I'm standing directly on the marker of the spot, do several circles around the area to hopefully spawn in the deer or boar and get nothing 😫

@@Griff_Gaming, I noticed this time red deer wouldnt spawn near the pond I mentioned, I just stood on the map marker and within 10 seconds, a herd of deer popped in. One popped in in front of me, and three were behind me near a hill. Plus several Hare popped in on a hill leading up to the road. So maybe just standing on the hunting spot might be what triggers animal spawns.

It wouldn't necessarily be a "load out" per sey just more a tab to keep items seperate from each other. The favorite system kind of like Skyrim or Fallout could solve that too but I just want a way to seperate different gear I use for different things. So, you want more ways to customize your equipment, how come embroidering did not come to your mind? You would be able to custom embroider your clothing with simple patterns. Not a huge user of crossbows in games of this type. Whenever options in games have a crossbow avaliable I typically don't use them (bannerlord, skyrim, medieval dynasty, just to name a few) so for me personally it's not a high priority, although I know others would like to see it. I did say to customize apparel. I even gave examples of games that allow you to customize clothes and give it different looks. Some way of going to clothes vendors and armor vendors to put unique designs on clothes and armor or custom make full suits or pieces of clothes

Master Strike = Massive combo, not a riposte. EVERYONE thinks it's the riposte. The game's description on this is weak at best. I pulled off maybe 10 masters through my last play. Forget about trying them in the tourney, too. I just stopped trying them and stuck with using riposte but if you pull a MS off it's extremely effective.

Honestly yeah I think it mostly just needs a lot of quality of life improvements and the be less buggy but absolutely I want combat to be reworked. Any time there were multiple enemies I just started cheesing it by pulling out my bow since they can't lock you in to combat with it. I think that's probably the worst bit, the way the camera focuses on one dude makes it so hard to fight multiple. And even if you decide to run away it's like enemies have some magnetism power and pull you back in to combat, damned if you do damned if you don't. Master Strikes also got a bit dull too I didn't like how combat by the end was almost entirely just counters. It's cool to do that but it's way too hard to win without doing it. There should definitely be some kind of cooldown on the animations because it becomes way too hard to hit enemies at all when they just counter everything. Maybe armour could have perks attached or the class you have on changes this, with heavy armour you can't counter as much but can obviously tank way more damage, with light you can counter and dodge better but are more squishy, this goes for enemies too. I think that would be fine. Kinda like The Viper vs The Mountain in Game of Thrones.

Once that hits 90 the achievement should pop. Pro tip, in churches they have groups of like 6 different paintings on the wall of each so you can knock a good chunk out in Rattay, Sasau, and Uzhitz. Taxation? Heck No! Economy rebalance, that I agree, but artificially taking money from a player is a terrible idea: you work hard to bring and sell bunch of junk and then the game just take most of it? Basically punishing a player for his effort. No. Better to limit or entirely remove armor and clothing loot for example, like Witcher or Starfield. Also, remove merchant inventory chests, it's easy to steal entire inventory from basically every merchant, and you can repeat this every week. Endless money.

#1 is def combat improvements. Why is difficulty tied to armor type? Why is the AI able to master strike every attack back at you? Too predictable and it interferes too much with the combo system making it mostly redundant. I think the costume system is messed up, it only seems to work during the missions where it's intended to be used... but if you pick off a Cuman guard at night during the rain on the outskirts of a camp he's patrolling... hide the body, equip all of his gear and even remotely try to walk near camp, they know you're a fraud instantly every time. In general alot of the RPG elements are cool but not really fleshed out enough in terms of use case. The Alchemy system is literally the best crafting system in any RPG, they should consider adding something like it for cooking or other crafts. KCD also does horse riding super well, but like archery, you can only really fully appreciate it on KBM because of the freedom of camera movement... some better controller layouts might help.

Get your revenge we never got. Then fast forward. Married...hopefully to Theresa. Your own land. Then you take over as your protege or son/daughter. But you still see Henry in various quests like you do with John and Arthur. It's a hard ask to suspend my disbelief this much. Real life "Henries" would not have got any conclusion and revenge after their village was burned. They just had to find a way to cope.
