The part when they get invaded, is one of my all time favorite surprises in gaming history. I was so wrapped up in the mundane tasks around the town, getting a feel for the game, then seeing that army appear had me speechless

Omg me too!!! I also felt so relatable with Henry, being a lazy young adult with a stern father. When he died, it felt so real. I never felt so instantly absorbed and attached to characters in any game, or any story for that matter, really. Truly felt real, and I felt the real emotions as if the Cuman invasion was really happening to me

The writing is excellent partly because they keep the world within human limits. We can believe far more readily because there are no superhuman powers and magical effects. Nobody is too good to be true and few seem purely evil. The learning curve is steep for both Henry and the player. Henry is useless so when serious danger appears it is truly terrifying.

Say what you want but for a Kickstarter this game was amazing, the amount of content I got out of it and fun even with the bugs and rough animations it was well worth the money.

One of things i wished for was the ability to hire followers. The game is always "Dont mess with a group of people" They're wayfare knights that are begging to be recruited. After a respectful duel it be nice to ask them to join your journey and have them help make choices and especially in tough fights. The downside would be to maintain all the stuff they have as their armor can get weak and if you have horses for them maintain them as well

Would be interesting especially after the reveal. After all, Sir Kuno has his merry little band of bastards, why can't we? That said I think it'd be pretty tough for the scripting of the game to handle that as-is. Companions are janky at the best of times, lol.

Companion would be great, I would even be satisfied if you could ''only'' hire soldiers from friendly towns to help you clean the bandit camps. I mean, it doesn't really make sense that you have to clean them all alone. Of course, you'd have to share the loot with them -> less coins from killing the bandits and cleaning the camps.

I have zero experience in coding but I don't think it would be that hard to program the AI to follow you if he's told so and basically the rest he could act on his own I think. Maybe you could tell him to be quiet, ready for an ambush and things like that but I don't think it would be superhard to make it right

My biggest fear about KCD2 is that they will not continue the story where it ended. I worry they will do some sort of a time-skip or completely change the narrative, which would be devastating for me. I fell in love with these well-written (and perfectly acted!) characters like you do when you read a great book or watch a movie. I hope I will be able to come back to them in KCD2 set exactly after the first game.

It is most likely they will continue with the story but if they do change the narrative it could be when Martin took adventures and fought in a war. Which would be actually pretty cool but a continuation will be better.

Such a fantastic story. The world, the immersion, choices to make; just amazing. Even the fighting was good. One of my favorite games ever. Sadly, it took me like 18 months to finally beat the game and it's DLC, so I kind of got fuzzy on the story as time went on. This brings back a lot.

I couldn't picture a better story. Henry has two fathers, one dead, and the other is Sir Radzig, who is still alive. There's room for another story for Henry to retrieve his father's sword, and Sir Hans seems to have gotten along better with Henry and has respect for him, I might add since he wants Henry at his side for the journey 😉. OK, I like Sir Hans now, he's matured up a bit.
