14:00 You were knocking him out while he's "asleep" but notice how his eyes were kind of open? Chances are, you're gonna see an instant loss of reputation later on in the game. When it happens though is very unpredictable, sometimes it even takes around 3 in-game days before you suddenly get a hit to your reputation. i think it's a glitch/bug whenever you knock people out while they're in bed, or maybe the devs giving the NPCs opened eyes during the knockout animation is their way of telling you this is intentional(it's a feature). i'm pretty sure that's what causes the reputation hit as i've done SEVERAL save-scumming in order to test this and the only difference was me knocking someone out in my playthroughs(and not doing it) before i'll get a hit to my reputation. As to why it took around 3 in-game days, my hypothesis is that the next time you see the NPC you've knocked out is when they'll "recognize" you and then deduct your reputation in that town/village, and i think it was coincidental that i didn't pass by the same NPC for a few in-game days. My solution: Never knock people out while they're "asleep". Just wear clothes that make you silent instead, if you want to do thievery at night. But, it's just a theory based on a number of tests i've done in the game. i could still be wrong.

odd, i played recently a month ago and didnt have that issue, i tested it to because i was curious, its odd ur character doesnt cover their eyes or something. Not sure if it was the same when i first played when it first came out though. However getting rep back isnt too diffuclty except in a few specific towns.

How all of these begin: im gonna be immersed ill be good im so excited to see the world and talk to the people its gonna be great! How all of these end up: so if i choke him out before going in will he still hear me picking locks?
