As one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, Barbara is a popular saint, perhaps best known as the patron of armourers, artillerymen, military engineers, miners and others who work with explosives because of her legend's association with lightning, and also of mathematicians."

I like how this doesn't sound like "videogame music". Not saying videogame music is bad, but that it usually has a somewhat distinct characteristic to it. This here really sounds like a small excerpt of a larger symphony and not something you just have on the background while playing a game.
@AhmadWahelsa9 ай бұрын
Some tracks in AC2 also feels like this, that grand symphony feel, especially the ones that plays during these sections where you have to obtain Assassin sigils or something in the churchs or dungeons, it also helps that both games settings isn't that far and the time period not being too far away (Italy 1500s vs Bohemia 1400s) I would've included Oblivion and Witcher 3 if it wasn't for almost crystal clear vocals, and synthesized or perfectly timed instruments

Though I know she is the saint of artillery, explosives and lightning, here in Portugal, this saint is worshipped in a "funny way" in some areas of the countryside. Because she is associated with lightning, and not that well known to begin with, her myth "evolved" into having died by lightning, instead of having the lightning just strike her father. Which is why she is depicted as *black* in these churches. Not for being african, but for being literally "cooked" by lightning. I love the portuguese countryside lmao Oh, and I will also share a common portuguese saying regarding her: "Só quando troveja se lembra de Santa Bárbara." "Only when you hear thunder do you remember St. Barbara." It basically means "You only remember I exist, when you need my help".
