Same! I'm trying to introduce some friends to the game and I feel like the GCE has too many features for new players but the original expansions are due to get updates so I don't know where to start 😅.

gloomhammer with the smog singers knowledge card to chase an enemy who runs away seems like it would be pretty rad.

I get the feeling Gloom Hammer and the Katana and sheeth will have their portion on the Black Water research tables switched with their resource costs adjusted to compensate. I feel the katana is more niche than the hammer, as while it's abilities are nice theirs the downside of katana master killing you at rank 10 so you're better to specialise into shield and increase how many blocks you get to be more a sudo tank. I'd love the sheath to get an additional ability: "On perfect hit you may chose to lose 1 or 2 levels of Katana weapon proficiency." The ability only being usable it the sheath is to the left of the Katana.

First I thought the Hammer is bad bcs it does only 1 wound. But you could just play leather with it and move 1 at end of round which gives you a free evande most of the time + its great vs DBK ;D
