The 'Scrap Rebar' could easily be put on the right hand side of the gear grid and any weapon on the left side of the gear grid which then leaves the middle part of the gear grid open.

I´ve watched/listened a ton of your videos (multiple times) and would gladly listen a 12hour video regarding KDM content, I own base game + gen 1 expansions + gambles chest, but I have only open base + gorm and im blown away by all the content. If you could do a video talking (in dept of course) about the mechanics of the game like phases, combat, crafting, aging, etc highlighting common mistakes and FAQs I would be really grateful, your KDM content is hands down the best one out there due to your knowledge and passion for it. Great work Fen!

I'm really enjoying this side of the series I think you should click on each AI or HL card and have them in full screened for about 2 seconds so you can pause and read them over at your own pace you full screened some cards but not others. I understand that would add about 2 minutes or so to the video. If I had to describe the white lion's combat niche it would be board control to be more precise "devision and knockdown capitalisation." keeping people ether divided at the other end of the board or following up with malling a target or pounce attacks and ground fighting damn ground fighting allowing them to declare a board space their own it also compounds the lore of the lions territorial nature. I think neatly summarising each monsters speciality ware applicable would be a good thing to add to the series. I am enjoying this and thank you for your time.

I agree with you on playing blind once, then after that anyways... but also , everyone should play the way they find it most fun. I feel Kingdom death gives a lot of options to self regulate the difficulty and different type of experience you want to have from your campaign... having said this, this is the prologue to the series, not related to the white lion. Overall the white lion is pretty simple but a great introduction to this game. Probably too much of an introduction for players with more boardgame experience. I know you mention that having long hunts is overall not good... but I tend to disagree a bit on this, I understand the hunt phase overall is meant to weaken the party for the showdown, however in my opinion most of the hunt events tend to be minor inconveniences, there are about 3 or 4 that are hard punishment , lets say 20-30 which are good but just ok... on the other hand ... there are another 5-10 that are just game breakingly good (including the only way to unlock the perfect slayer) and the only way to try and get these more consistently is by brute force trying to get more and more events. In the case of the white lion, being able to see 5 event cards 1 being the white lion cub is just AMAZING. This and free lion piss... The overall strategy I tend to use for the white lion is simple... attack from blind spot even if there is someone in the front. I know... there is grab, but there are also many perform basic action target the atacker which basically turns him around for the people who previously were in the front. Grab sucks... but the first lions dont damage that much neither have that much movement.

Great job as always, i really find these very informative and entertaining. Can this be truly considered a support/damage role? I know this is not the same as a brawler but I think they are in a very similar role in my opinion. I mean ... I understand this is sort of supporting with the masteries, but I dont know... many masteries become basically support abilities, for example axe mastery that becomes crits permanent injury locations, it wouldnt feel right to call the axe a support weapon. likewise would you say fist and tooth is support as well since as soon you get a master all survivors benefit from it? likewise a shield master makes the shields so good everyone should use a shield no matter the role. The lamest nitpick ... I dont like this role to be called "lancer" trap specialist sounds cool imo, it feels more like something outside of the 3 main roles , something like in american football where the kicker duties are special and very different to anyone else.

Something I’ve always wondered about, how does the interaction between the cat eye circlet and the wisdom potion? The potion says play with the top card revealed, the circlet says reveal the top 3 and re-order them. Do you technically reveal a 4th card as you lift 3 cards off the top of the deck to manipulate them?
@FenBossBattlers
@FenBossBattlers 28 күн бұрын
You don't get to see a fourth card. The CEC looks at the top three cards, it doesn't care if they are already revealed or not.

Hi - you refer to meta roles and archers not being one of them. As a new player, I am trying to figure out the best composition. Curious to hear your thoughts, thanks.
@FenBossBattlers
@FenBossBattlers Ай бұрын
I'm not sure what you're asking for here. Archers are a part of the core box's meta as I describe in the video. They are however not a base archetype because there are only three of those - Tanking, Damage and Support - every other class role is a mix of those pure elements. As such, Archers are a hybrid Damage/Support class role due to how arrows work, and because not every campaign has bows in them automatically (due to bows only being printed on monster crafting locations) they are a situational powerhouse role rather than a staple.
@kalebspicer5453
@kalebspicer5453 Ай бұрын
For composition, my opinion is to go with 1 tank, 2 damage dealers, and 1 support.
@FenBossBattlers
@FenBossBattlers Ай бұрын
Yup, Kaleb gives the typical and most straightforward mix there and that's what I would start with. Though you can hybridise a bit if you want as long as you're confident and able to ensure at least 1 survivor is able to tank/soak hits and at least two can deal good damage damage. Generally you want 1 dedicated tank (or two Off-Tanks), 1 dedicated damage and then some mix of tanking/damage/support abilities for the last two depending on your playstyle. I'd recommend avoiding 4xJack of all trades (Tank/Damage/Support) builds for newer players, but experienced players can absolutely do that. Videos on Off-Tanks, Lancers and some specialised classes that use secret fighting arts for their builds are coming.

Small correction: the Rawhide set bonus getting back your survival actually gives you 2x survival, not just 1.5x. This is because the refunded survival and also refund and so on. Therefore the sum can be calculated using the infinite sum of 1+1/2+1/4... = 2.

I feel like I'm often in the minority when I say that sword specialization is incredible. I really wish the mastery had a higher strength bonus, because 1 strength just doesn't do it for a settlement that's far enough in to have a weapon master. The accuracy and speed are fine.

Great video as always. I Kdm I usually don't consider support an impactful enough role, more like something every one has to do... Do you think they should buff the support role? If so.. how would they do it?
@FenBossBattlers
@FenBossBattlers 2 ай бұрын
Supports are so unbelievably powerful that you'll find veteran players talking about how they've stopped using the deck control elements and spread the rest of the job out between other survivors. It's really just a playstyle thing, if you run a really hard to break tank then the support dismantles the rest of the monster threats really hard. Otherwise, switch from a support to an Archer (that's the next video btw).
@SinamonX
@SinamonX 2 ай бұрын
@@FenBossBattlers I think full support is just too boring to play and makes the game very unfun to everyone perhaps I should have explained the buff more in the having fun section. Also a full support character slows down the showdown as well
@FenBossBattlers
@FenBossBattlers 2 ай бұрын
You can always hybridise into a mixed build such as a team with: support/tank, Off-Tank, Damage, Support/Damage so IMO it is all fine. KDM is a non-competitive sandbox game, so players can switch up styles. Also Team Death have been building on the "Squire" support play style over the years, so there are more options coming for supports. In short, I think it is in our hands, if you don't find it fun, don't use them! It's not like deck scouting is vital once a player is experienced with the behaviours of the two monster decks.

I was rewatching and thought about something when you talked about scythes. Almost every scyth has an alternate activation ability, the nuclear scyth has edge ignites, for example. Or Titus has the luck consumption. The scythe mastery let's you activation the scythe twice each turn, letting you freely tap its ability and then use it.
